- From $223.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,042 reviewsOur anniversary stay was nothing short of magical, from the stunning location and lake view to the impeccable professionalism and warm hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were graciously welcomed by the delightful Ms. Anne Marie, who offered us coffee as we relaxed in the lobby. Her kindness and attentiveness gave us the perfect first impression – thank you, Ms. Anne! The kitchen staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A special shoutout to the young gentleman who visited our room (403) and graciously waived the charge for an order that wasn't up to par. Your dedication to excellence did not go unnoticed! A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Tino, the charming Indian Portuguese, who ensured everything was perfect from the moment we arrived, especially during breakfast. Your attentiveness truly made a difference. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Lais Silva, whose efforts made our anniversary celebration extraordinarily special. Thank you all for creating such a memorable experience. We can't wait to return and relive these wonderful moments again!Guest review byAhmedUnited Kingdom
- From $210.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,434 reviewsThis is a really nice hotel and our room was fantastic. A very well laid out and spacious room with amazing views of Killarney National Park. Also throughout the hotel the level of cleanliness was clear to be seen as it was spotless. All of the staff were engaging and very friendly and a credit to the hotel. In particular the young lady working behind the bar went to a different floor to get the drink I ordered; what service! Breakfast was another standout. Usually buffet breakfasts are not up to scratch but this was not the case here. All of the hot food was actually still hot and cooked to perfection We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we were delighted with the gifts the hotel had arranged for us on our arrivalGuest review byDavidIreland
- From $223.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,985 reviewsWe had a wonderful stay at the Lake Hotel. Our room had a lovely view of the lake and the castle ruins. The room itself was beautiful, well appointed and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was wonderful in accommodating us when we had to leave very early to get to Skellig Michael for a boat tour. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel one evening where the staff and the meal were excellent as well. In the evenings, the seating areas with access to the bar where live music was always playing was wonderful. We highly recommend the Lake Hotel to everyone! The location is ideal and in conclusion - it's amazing!Guest review byConnieCanada

A lovely area, friendly people.
A lovely area, friendly people. There is a lot to keep you entertained and plenty of sights and things to do. The pubs are also brilliant, some having great music for you to dance to. I will definitely be back. The horse and trap are a must do, great way to see Killarney. The town is within walking range from Earls Court House. It is an easy town to get around and a good array of places close by to sight see. You must walk the park, so relaxing and you feel as if you are out in the country and not a town. Wonderful place.Guest review byPaisis - 10.0

Kenmare is an absolutely charming town on the southern side of the Kerry Peninsula. Great dining, wonderful places to stay, such fun to walk all over the town and the perfect launching point for our tour around the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in a wonderful 'townhouse hotel' (bed and breakfast over a beloved pub) right in the heart of the town and loved it. Killarney seems to be the most popular launching point for exploring the Ring of Kerry but we opted for smaller, more local and charming in Kenmare. Absolutely the right choice for our family of four.Guest review byJuliaUnited States - 10.0
Lots to do and see!
Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.Guest review bylindaIreland - 10.0

Sneem is a lovely little town. Just the right size for a wander. Everyone we met was very friendly and the Book Shop was amazing. We also bought some cards in a Craft shop that had a spinning wheel outside. Such friendly ladies in both shopsGuest review byJoyIreland - 10.0

It's just 20 mins away from Kilarney National Park - which we visited last (just the Waterfall) Perfect if you plan on visiting Ring of Kerry and wish to take a lap around it - we have managed to see all the highlights (northern-side, i.e. Cahersiveen, Valentia, ending on the Cliffs of Kerry, then driving through the south absolutely gobsmacked with the views) If you want to visit Ring Of Kerry we recommend 2 days there as we wish we spent more and explore South side - definitely visit Valentia and Cahersiveen (coffee at Lazy Cat with view at the cathedral and shopping in the near gift shop) The views or Ring of Kerry are spectacular - Canary Islands, Canada, Zakopane, Peru (one word: Ireland), all mixed up! BIG LOVE!Guest review byKonradUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice village to stay for a couple of days, lovely beach and nice restaurants, ate at Chaplins restaurant in the Butler Arms Hotel where we stayed it was excellent, also had lunch in Dooleys which was equally as good. Nice promenade walkwayGuest review byMartin - 8.0
Cahersiveen is a very charming little town.
Cahersiveen is a very charming little town. We came down from Galway, and it is much smaller with fewer pubs and restaurants. The major appeal of this town is it's proximity to gorgeous attractions like Valentia and Skellig island, and being right along the Ring of Kerry. I highly recommend staying near Cahersiveen as your base point if you plan to explore the Ring of Kerry, and if you have a rental car and are comfortable driving on smaller back roads. Strongly recommend Franks Bar and Bistro for food and drinks. Be sure to check out the castle and fort that are very close to the town!Guest review bygallagher - 6.0

We had a evening meal at the restaurant and we could not fault it The food was well prepared and very tasty. But when it came to breakfast it was not so good The scrambled egg was tasteless The pan cakes looked and tasted like they were out of a packetGuest review byStephenIreland - 8.0
A great little village.
A great little village. Only 1 shop in the fuel station, but it was just about enough. Beach close by (Rossbeigh), although Kells beach was much nicer as it's more secluded and out of the wind. Unless you want the wind! Few nice short and long walks accessible from Glenbeigh.Guest review byAdamKeoughIreland - 10.0
We are in our 70's from Australia and loved Killarney.
We are in our 70's from Australia and loved Killarney. Gorgeous town, lots to do and the best fish and chip shop - on the right hand corner as you go into town but unfortunately the name escapes me - a modern shop with a glass frontage. We ate there twice. Great music and shopping. The Gap of Dunloe Tour was excellent and good value for money and very informative guides. The drive down over the Caha Pass and through the tunnels, then down through the Killarney National park is stunning. And lots of viewpoints along the way which is great. Love the horse and carts as well, colourful and a great choice when you have done enough walking.Guest review byLindylizzieAustralia
