The heat and humidity in Vijayawada get unbearable. The Bapu Museum, formerly known as the Victoria museum, is a must-visit spot for history enthusiasts. Built-in the year 1887, along with its ancient relic exhibits, is fascinating This very museum is the spot where Pingali Venkayya presented the Indian Flag colors to Mahatma Gandhi in 1921. Do not book standard rooms at Sai towers. No kettle, no hair dryer. Towels not very clean. Items stolen from locked room. Very basic. Location of hotel is superb. Food at Sai towers was very good. Courier services in area a rip off. Pharmacy and optical services very good. Communication via cellular phones problematic. Money changing , excellent rates. Access to toilets and the condition thereof very problematic. Asharaam facilities and ambience very pious and serene. Local traders very accomodating in terms of prices and assistance. Sampled wide choices of vegetable food which was prepared very well. However concept of a toasted sandwich is non -existent. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience regarding a hotel reservation made via Booking.com. We specifically selected the “Pay at the property” option during the booking process, as we were en route to the destination. Upon receiving the confirmation email, we were unexpectedly contacted again, being asked to make immediate payment in order to secure the booking — a condition that was never stated during the initial reservation. While traveling, we promptly contacted the hotel to explain our situation and requested that the booking be held until our arrival, where payment would be made as per the original terms. Despite this clear communication, the reservation was cancelled without our consent or any prior notice. This irresponsible handling — particularly with no notification of the cancellation — left our family stranded and caused considerable inconvenience. Such treatment is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and reflects a serious lack of coordination and respect for customer agreements. We expect a formal explanation from both Booking.com and the hotel involved, along with assurances that corrective actions will be taken to prevent this from happening to other customers in the future.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
