Surprisingly comfortable stay: spacious room, excellent bed, we had a good rest. Very clean, room had everything you might need. Good position, close enough to train and ferry, and yet close to old town. The stuff - gentleman in the evening shift - was VERY kind and gave us super helpful information about our upcoming ferry travel. Breakfast - also very good, plenty of options, home made cakes, pastries, local specialties, the best breakfast we had on our whole trip, my 11-year old boy enjoyed it. The old town is within 10-15min walk, easily.

Grand Hotel Passetto is one of the few hotel left with a soul. It's clear it is loved who runs it and it keeps it to an high standard. The hotel is old but very well kept. The rooms are super clean and the staff amazing. The stay was beyond my expectation for the money we paid. I have stayed in much more quoted hotel, for much more of the money and i got much less. I sincerely thank the staff who clearly is loving his job.

    This is a delightful hotel, out in the middle of nowhere (yet less than 10 km from Ancona and technically walking distance from the beach, although that would involve navigating a road that is not quiet), set in truly massive grounds, most of which is garden overlooking a bay. It's delightfully quiet, sitting in the garden on one of the free loungers out there. For North Europeans, being able to sit outside all day more than comfortably in just shorts and a t-shirt at the end of October is a bit special, especially with a lovely view and almost perfect silence. We loved it, as did our dog. The breakfast is good (although not a buffet, but rather one provided via a waiter and an extensive menu) as is the evening menu in the restaurant. There is a nice-looking swimming pool area, although that didn't tempt us at the end of October, but I imagine it's rather nice in the summer.

    Everything was great. Location and proximity to the sea is unexpectedly great. The hotel stands literally at the sea line and waves wash its walls. Helpful and cheerful admin at the entrance and all smiling staff. Real espresso you can make yourself in the real espresso machine in the morning, wonderful breakfast. Relaxing sea breeze strolling trough narrow beaches right off the hotel. Car parking by the entrance. Many bars and restaurants around. Nevertheless it did not seem even merely crowded. This is the place to return and we will for sure use such opportunity and enjoy it again.

    The hotel is beautiful, it feels very boutiquey! It's nicely spread across the estate, the design is very nice, staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, but not intrusive. Had the best breakfast in a hotel ever! Loved the room even thought it was inside garden facing, but done in such a smart way. Amazing value for money!

    Ancona is not just another coastal town – for me, it’s a truly special place that resonates deeply with my sensibility. It has this calm, authentic atmosphere of the Italian seaside, without the overwhelming crowds, yet full of charm, soul, and subtle beauty. The city lives in contrast – sea and hills, history and everyday life, serenity and elegance. Whether you're walking along the waterfront, sipping espresso in a quiet piazza, or getting lost in the narrow streets of the old town, you feel like you belong. What touched me the most was the sense of peace and connection. Ancona doesn’t ask you to adapt to it – it quietly adapts to you.     This is a gem of a place which I would love to keep secret but too beautiful not to share friendly people great restaurants for food and that’s just out of season this region is filled with history we also went to Recanti and Loretta lots to do and see I have not yet been in the busy months but I am certain the vibe will be just as good

    The apartments seem almost new and are fully equipped with everything you need, plus they are spotlessly clean and include a car park. Check-in seemed a little late at 4pm and check-out seemed quite early at 10.30am since we only stayed one night. I think the price of the pool was quite high especially as Pietra Bianca is about a 10 minute drive from the beach. In fact, despite the hot weather, there was almost no-one in the pool. There are lots of great places to eat both in Marcelli and Numana. The first evening we ate in Porto Recanati as we had been to Recanati and visited la Casa di Leopardi. The food was excellent and so was the service. The following night we ate at La Rotonda Gigli and we had a wonderful dinner. Highly recommended.

    One evening, one night, one good morning, we enjoyed every bit. Porto Recanati is a small and quiet town with a nice pebble beach. We chose this on the way to South Italy, by car, because as an alternative to Ancona, it is close to the highway so we didn't lose too much time covering distance and driving through a big town. Parking is easy and free, everything is within walking distance.

    Little cozy town between Porto Recanati and Civitanova Marche where you can easily relax by enjoying the amazing beachside walk and the breath taking hills just 2-3 miles far from the sea. Local restaurants are mostly located on the coast side and many of them are excellent! However, if you drive by car, you can also enjoy plenty of restaurants on the villas (agriturismo) located by the hills (many of them have incredible views). If you need to feel more noise, crowd and night life you can easily head to Civitanova Marche by train (1 stop heading south) or 10 mins by car. Porto Potenza Picena like most of the port towns has its little medieval mother town on the hill (potenza picena) really worth visiting. Enjoy!

    Many of the main attractions were closed.

    Many of the main attractions were closed. Some because of an earthquake a few years ago but others with no explanation. Poor identification of sights made them difficult to find especially when they were closed when we got there. The evening atmosphere was lively - lots of young people enjoying themselves. The food was typical of a tourist town although reviews online helped identify the better restaurants.

    Sirolo was very pretty with plenty of shops and restaurants and bars. A beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Some of the restaurants were very expensive and provided a rather too nouvelle cuisine approach to fish. For example Il Vicolo and Ristorante delle Rose. Both very elegant with good service but rather fussy food! However, that’s just my taste ofcourse.

    Numana is a lovely place to unwind and relax.

    Numana is a lovely place to unwind and relax. There are lovely country and sea views all around. The sunflower fields in the summer are amazing as are all the olive groves and grapevines. The sea is clean and most beaches are pebbles not sand which makes it easy to dust off. Ancona is a gem.

    Absolute find!

    Absolute find! Great hotel, great views, friendly staff, great rooms & breakfast was delicious. The rooftop restaurant was excellent. Nothing bad to say, each course was exceptional. The attention to detail is second to none.

    Stunning village, great food, unbelievable fish restaurents on the beach at Urbani Beach, great boat options, and lovely accommodation. The Conero Riviera wasn't well known to us but we will be back to this region, including to try the wonderful wines there again.
