Our stay here surpassed all expectations. The hotel has an incredible relaxed feeling. Breakfast is served in the lush garden and the owners are there every morning, greeting the guests and helping with restaurant reservations and day trips. They are two of the nicest people you could meet. There's is a really sense of family here. The rooms are beautiful, spotless, with a good sized terrace to enjoy the sunshine. We had dinner in the hotel one evening, a must. Exceptional value and delicious food, go hungry ! This is the kind of hotel you will want to return to again and again. We will be back for sure.

such a cool older style hotel reminiscent of a time past. fantastic situation right on the sea with the sound of the waves lulling us into a transcendental state of relaxation. The facilities are not super modern or perfectly functioning in all details, so if if this is what you are looking for may not be the place for you. but it had everything we needed and we loved the whole vibe of the place. the view from our top floor balcony was sublime and it was amazing to just walk down stairs barefoot in swim suits and dive right into the placid bay. The proprietors, Leila and Johnny, are lovely soft-spoken hosts. If you choose to engage you will find genuine genial and humble graciousness and charm. Leila is a great cook! The menu looks a bit simple, but don’t be fooled. Her mussels were the best we had, and the grilled sea bream was fantastic!! we loved this place and hope to be back soon.

Breakfast was more than ample; hostess/owner was personable, gracious and helpful. Hot pool/Roman bath was an unexpected treat. We have stayed at this beautiful elegant hotel on three yearly visits. The staff is exceptional.. They are so professional but full of fun and helpful. Room and whole hotel was super cute and very clean. There thermal pools were awesome. Walking distance to small downtown area with shops/market, beach, and some great restaurants. Would recommend also walking to the Poseidon thermal baths! Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal with fresh juices and tons of options. Front desk staff was great at arranging affordable taxi rides. Also check out the spa offers they were very affordable I got a massage that was great and a couple friends got massages and facials that were great!

Picturesque Island of Volcanic Rock, Thermal Spas and Pristine Beaches

Located 30 km from Naples and formed by a complex volcano, the pristine and breathtaking Ischia Island is Mother Nature’s hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is surrounded by an unspoiled coastline, thermal spas, several hiking routes and spectacular scenery.

Built in 474 BC, Aragonese Castle which is perched on natural volcanic rock, is the most impressive historical monument on Ischia Island, and is a modern day reminder of the islands past. Another wonder of island is the Gardens of La Mortella. Filled with tropical and Mediterranean plants, these picture-perfect gardens offer some of the best views over the region and Forio Harbour.

Other attractions on Ischia Island are beaches such as Maronti Beach and Citara Beach. There is also the Angelo Rizzoli Museum, which is a museum of the famous Italian publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli, along with the mushroom rock (known to locals as the Fungo) located just off the port of Lacco Ameno. Several local restaurants and bars are scattered around the island serving traditional and local delights.

One of the most interesting and unique areas on Ischia Island is the bay of Citara, and the famous Poseidon thermal Gardens. It features several pools, spas, a traditional Roman Sauna, a private beach and various restaurants. Visitors also have great transportation links by bus around the island.

    The hotel was more a senior home for retired. It has 4 stars but doesn't meet criteria of even 2 stars. Very poorly equipped with old and warned out furniture and bed covers. Walls were wet and dirty, room was freezing cold and stinking like old people. Food was horrible with even worse service and terrible noise in the canteen. Hotel has one indoor jacuzzi where the water was luke warm and had so much chlorine, that it was burning our skin and noses. It was the worst hotel experience I ever had.

    Great location - walking distance of the port, bus station, restaurants, supermarket and shops - the area was quiet and I felt safe. Breakfast was very good with different cakes each day. Lunches and dinners can also be booked at the hotel restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and can arrange tours. The room was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately I did not have time to make use of the extensive spa facilities that are available.

The staff went above and beyond—helping us with restaurant reservations, organizing transportation, and even offering to book a driver for Naples. The food at the on-site restaurants was outstanding.     I have never felt so welcome at a hotel! The hosts, shuttle drivers, and other staff were all so wonderful. They gave us such good advice about where to go and helped us so much with making reservations for dinners/taxis. The property itself is so beautiful and the garden/pool is so relaxing. I wish we could’ve stayed much, much longer!

    Beautiful resort on the island with friendly staff and plenty to offer without needing to leave. If you want to explore the island, there is a shuttle, but you can also walk to the beach or down to Forio.

    Positone Spa a great day.

    Positone Spa a great day. St Angelo town quaint and beautiful. Garden Mortella stunning on a sunny day. Castle in Ischua Porte good. Bus transportation excellent, buses every 10 minutes, you can pay onboard. Use app Rio to Rome, excellent for travel information all around the world. Tip for travelling alone, lunch instead of dinner. Eat outside instead of dinning inside, bring a book with you. Once you begin travelling alone, the world is your oyster!!!

    Getting around easy using bus line, but can get crowded so allow time, recommend doing a boat/snorkel tour, also visit the castle. Ate at Wine Cave at Poseidon Thermal Gardens, recommend if visit Gardens. Also recommend Bella Napoli in Forio for dinner.
