- From US$180.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 911 reviewsI had wonderful days staying at the Hotel Giosué a Maré! The view of the sea is simply spectacular, a true painting of nature. The staff is extremely attentive, with special mention to Valeria and Paschoal, who made all the difference in our experience, always with great friendliness and care. About the food: the hotel didn't promise anything... but delivered everything! Each meal was delicious, made with care and quality. It was an incredible stay, with great comfort, hospitality and good energy. Without a doubt, I recommend it and hope to return soon!Guest review byveivianeBrazil
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 70 reviewsThis is a lovely resort for a family holiday. Right on a lovely beach, we had a very comfortable apartment. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Restaurant on site is spectacular, and there are 2 or 3 other good options next door.Guest review bySusanIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,214 reviewsAbsolute blast! Super friendly and extremely helpful staff, everybody in general was absolutely amazing. Nothing was a problem for them, I really liked it and appreciate it as well. I have no idea, why there are some negative reviews, we had no problem whatsoever. Room was much bigger than we expected, beds were comfy and there was AC as well. Overall location was just amazing, since you got a lift up to the hill, if you want to leave for some trips. - From US$152.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 1,796 reviewsAmazing view form the balcony, spacious room with all amenities, clean bathroom even if a little dated but in a very good condition. Good continental breakfast, sweet and savoury option to order at your table, everything was fresh and good quality. Very convenient parking near the entrance with plenty of space but we visited during winter time, might not be this easy to park in high season.Guest review byPiXpaaItaly
- From US$184.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 1,278 reviewsThe hotel is located exactly at the entrance of the city of Salerno. Our room was very large and very nicely renovated. We were told that the rooms facing the port have been renovated and the rooms facing the sea have not been fully renovated. We chose the renovated room and it was very nice. Of course, the view of the rooms that have a direct view of the sea is definitely better.Guest review byBahaminIran

I don’t have much to say except that it was very very crowded and ranking Public transportation was a nightmare. I would not recommend going there in the tourist season. It was well located as far a water transportation was concerned. Take a boat trip a long the coast or the traghetto to Capri. The views are spettacolare of the coast and coast townsGuest review byLeslieItaly - 8.0
Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. Goes without saying it's a lot of stair climbing. Consider this if you have any mobility issues. Very touristy and busy the end of September when we met. At times it was hard to navigate the sidewalks and pathways.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 10.0
Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast.
Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast. The beach is big and much more accessible that other towns. The local bus service (Sita) is good except that the buses fill up and you can be left waiting for the next one and hopefully get on it. The Amalfi Coast road is amazing, winding, narrow and so busy with traffic nonstop passing with inches to spare - sometimes buses and cars have to back up to pass on some parts. The Italian bus drivers are extremely skilled - some are nice, but some are extremely mean (and I think hate Tourists)Guest review byMiddletonAustralia - 10.0

A quiet and peaceful area with many possibilities and attractions. Excellent public transport connections. Close to beaches, mountain trails, picturesque towns and restaurants. Excellent hotel infrastructure. Various types of shops - from grocery stores to hiking equipment. Limited but free public parking. Scooters available for hire. Public laundries.Guest review byKrzysztofIreland - 10.0

We loved our time in Ravello so much to see and do in the Amalfi coast, if you are going to drive be mindful of the busy winding roads, we pretty much walked everywhere but buses and taxis are available and Vespa’s can be hired if your up for an adventure.Guest review byDainaAustralia - 10.0

Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. This means you are very close to both places and don't have to pay the higher prices in Sorrento or Naples.Guest review byMarjanGermany - 8.0

Lots of ceramic shops selling almost the same items. many good restaurants within walking distance. Arrive by train then take the accensore (elevator) down to the town - the lift-well is lined with blue tiles and fish. Gorgeous. The ferry stops down at the bay and bus 68 takes you up to the town for 1.4euro. Buy the ticket from the ladies in the ceramic shop near the bus stop before you board and validate on the bus.Guest review byPamelaAustralia - 8.0

The sea front with its elegant buildings and promenade is extremely attractive. The views towards Vesuvius are spectacular. The town itself does not seem anything special but it is much quieter than Sorrento which was somewhat overrun when we visited. At the same time, Sorrento is easily accessible.Guest review byKeith StuartMalta - 10.0
This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast.
This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. The bus takes you to Sorrento one way and Positano the other, but can get full up quickly. However there are taxis around if you prefer. In Sant Agata there are very reasonably priced restaurants and a great children's playground near to the go-kart track.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom
