Josie is the best receptionist in the world. I’ve never met someone who enjoys her job as much as Josie! The restaurant and his staff were incredible and the guys parking the car were very efficient. The barmen were super attentive and the drinks were great.

The staff headed by the manager was great! Very helpful, so was the restaurant staff upstairs. We got a room upgrade (it was so nice! 4th floor) and it was very large and modern. Breakfast tasty, a large selection of dishes. The location is also perfect. If I ever visit Sorrento again I will definitely take this choir into consideration :)

hotel location is fabulous. close to old town, to marina and train station. staff, including hotel manager, were very helpful and supportive with all our tasks, they organized a festive cake and prosecco for our anniversary. most of the hotel breakfast ingredients are local. rooms are very comfy and clean. a major plus for the windows, don't know who is the producer, but they insulated the room very well, considering noise and activity on the min street. maybe a little pricy, but this is the standard price for Sorrento and having all the above.

    The hotel Mega Mare is located in private grounds with a well maintained terraced garden overlooking the bay of Sorrento, and has plenty of space for parking. Although the hotel is just off the SS145 you cannot hear no road noise nor see the road from the hotel. The hotel was designed and built by the owner of the hotel and his father to a high standard. You can feel the pride and real care in welcoming the guests by the owner and the staff. The height of the hotel above the sea of about 400 metres results in an outstanding view across the whole bay towards Sorrento and Capri, and every room has a balcony or terrace with this sea view. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with a small fridge, TV, comfortable bed and a good wardrobe. The well-equipped bathroom is very clean. There is a good buffet breakfast in the large downstairs dining room again having the sea-view towards Sorrento and Capri. The hotel provides easy access to the bay of Sorrento, Capri, the Amalfi coast, Naples and the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii where we spent a very enjoyable week. The outstanding view must be one of the best in Italy; and we highly recommend the hotel.

    This is a lovely resort for a family holiday. Right on a lovely beach, we had a very comfortable apartment. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Restaurant on site is spectacular, and there are 2 or 3 other good options next door.

    that was a wonderful stay! we enjoyed it from the very first moment to the last minute. hosts were welcoming and caring about all our needs. the room was clean and the The sea view was fantastic! the spa area was nice and also clean. our breakfast and dinners served in the restaurant were always good and tasty. location is also perfect - we could easily reach any place on the coast by car and it was nice to get back to our calm hotel after sightseeing.

    This was our second visit in the hotel, but we will come back for sure. The place is calm, clean and the hotel has an own beach with sunbeds and umbrella (Free for the guests). The ristorante La Tavernetta offers delicious food for good prices. We really like the shuttle offered by the hotel (mainly the golf car). If you don't want a real luxury but want to enjoy the feeling of a small Italian village, don't hesitate to book your stay here.

    I love the location and the fact that is an original Gio Ponti project , the great architect and designer who contributed to change the history of design in Italy . Everything in this structure is designed by him and some pieces look still original . The upgrade done to preserve the identity of the structure is very well done as well .

    We loved the lower-key vibe of this city.

    We loved the lower-key vibe of this city. It was the perfect ending of our near 5 week European trip. Crowds (in early Oct), were moderate and not at all oppressive and 95% of everything to do in Sorrento was an easy 20 min walk or less. We loved taking a day trip to Capri and leisurely shopping there and in Sorrento. Getting to and from the train station to our apartment was about a 5 min walk. And the food!!! was fabulous! We'll be back in the future for certain!

    We stayed in the hills of Vico Equense at Villa Rosa and went to the town for a day. It was a charming town with incredible views. For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. For those who want truly incredible food, I would highly recommend having dinner at Villa Rosa.

    This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast.

    This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. The bus takes you to Sorrento one way and Positano the other, but can get full up quickly. However there are taxis around if you prefer. In Sant Agata there are very reasonably priced restaurants and a great children's playground near to the go-kart track.

    Lovely local restaurants in Sant'Agnello. Particularly liked Lapillo on the same street as our hotel and Alfreds, one street over. Both small and worth booking. Both trains and buses into Sorrento were cheap and very regular. It was also a pleasant (flat) walk of about half an hour.

    Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. We ate here three times, each time trying different things and everything was delicious.

    Meta was just 3 train stops to the heart of Sorrento. From Meta we had access to Pompei on the train as well as a direct line to Naples. It was also quiet area when you needed to rest and within walking distance to st Angela a nice Italian little are

    It was fantastic. Great views. Beautiful culture, area, lots to do. Kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking every meal but you don’t need to. Affordable local restaurants are walking distance and the best food we had in Italy. Try Eugenia. - restaurant a bit down from the church.

    Amazing place to stay with your family or friends.

    Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. And finally, Pino is such an amazing host! He helped us with everything we need, from finding best restaurants around to having some music in the villa.

    From Sorrento, we managed to spend a day via ferry across to the Isle of Capri, Sorrento itself is a fantastic center where the trains terminate, and there are a number of excellent restaurants. We also did the Amalfi day tour which was a fantastic experience with outstanding views. We also took a day trip by the train trip back to Pompeii and climbed Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento is a very could point to stay.

    Lots of place to eat, shop and visit.

    Lots of place to eat, shop and visit. If you don't have a car give yourself extra time getting to and from as taxis are scarce and the buses really don't follow a schedule even though one is posted. If you are out for dinner you can get the restaurant to get you a taxi.
