We stayed here for our 25th anniversary trip to Italy on our way from the Lake Como area and before visiting Portofino and the Cinque Terre and Tuscany. The hotel was very kind to upgrade us to a beautiful bay view with balcony. It was spectacular. We had a drink there and then ate in their restaurant, which was good. Breakfast was also very good and had lots of options. Espresso drinks were wonderful. I chose this hotel because it also had a nice gym, and I enjoyed it and its spectacular view. We were hoping to eat at the seaside restaurant and sit by the pool because the weather was in the 80s, but they were clsoed for the season. :( We visited Santa Marguirita Ligure, which was lovely, for lunch, and very close by.

Many good things to highlight: daily cleaning with new towels, perfumed scent, vacuumed floors, etc. What caught our attention was the detail of the candles lit at night in the courtyard, giving the place a very romantic touch, also showing the concern to create a first-class environment. Villa Agnese also has the detail of ambient music even in the courtyard, at breakfast, which we appreciated a lot as other places don't have that detail. The 24-hour attention is worth noting, with very friendly staff always helping. The garage is excellent, spacious, and secure, and furthermore, the entire premises are enclosed, top-notch security, something very important since we rented a car. Everything very well maintained, courtyard, nature, room, with places to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The room perfectly painted and arranged with pleasant colors, with three curtains to cover the light and also to give an elegant touch to the windows. The initials of V.A in various parts and the name even on the napkins we liked a lot. The bathroom is large, perfectly equipped, good mirrors, very good shower, hot water, everything working perfectly. Good temperature and air in the room. Excellent breakfast with plenty to choose from and first-class service. Clean pool, crystal-clear water. The owners are very friendly, who also have the detail of giving a gift to their customers at the time of check-out, a detail that we hadn't seen before even though we've stayed in many hotels. If we return to northern Italy, we will definitely return to Villa Agnese, we recommend it wholeheartedly. Honestly, we can't find anything negative, quite the opposite, on a scale of 10 we give it a 20 :). Minutes away from the city center by car and on foot. Quiet place, excellent

They helped me rent a boat as quickly as possible, so that after 30 minutes I was sailing to Portofino. Individual, friendly approach with maximum care and attention to guests.     We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Miramare and Spa. When searching for a , I had been attracted to the hotel by the photos of the Bay of Silence location of the hotel. It was even better in real life! A really beautiful and peaceful location as we were travelling during the non peak time of March. The bedroom we were allocated was lovely and spacious as we were upgraded on arrival to the Junior Suite with Seaview and balcony, room 210. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was very quiet. Sitting on the balcony at different times of the day was bliss! As we had requested a twin room, they made up the sofa bed into another bed for us, which was also very comfortable to sleep in. The suite was very clean and every little extra touch was provided. I loved the huge fluffy dressing gowns especially! The bathroom had a wonderful jacuzzi bath as well as a separate shower. I loved the range of toiletries provided, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner smelt and felt lovely. The breakfast room overlooking the sea was beautiful, such a pleasure to eat our breakfast overlooking the calm bay. It had lots of choice. We chose the ham and cheese omelette on the first morning which was delicious, so much so that we ordered another one on the following day! The pastries were displayed in a pretty way, like they do for an afternoon tea in England on a stand on each table. We didn’t manage to eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t open when we were there but there was plenty of choice in the town of Sestri Levante itself. We thought that the old town of Sestri Levante was delightful. We found it a great base for taking the train to see the Cinque Terre which was the main objective of our trip and we are so glad that we chose to stay outside in such a lovely resort. It was an easy direct connection to the Cinque Terre stations.

    This hotel is just simply beautiful. What a wonderful place. Staff were nice. Great location with an elevator to get from the hotel to the Main Street (avoids the hill walk). Stunning views from all over. Nice restaurant on site for great food and drinks. Very enthusiastic bar man. Clean and tidy rooms. Overall a wonderful stay. Next time we will be staying longer

    Rich and tasty breakfast with perfect timing (8-10.00 am), we loved it. Lovely building and is located near the walking zones and the sea. It took only a comfortable 5 minutes to walk to the beach. There is a supermarket open till ca. 23.45 in front of the hotel if you needed something to buy. The signora knew perfectly when to serve our aperols.

    A nice size town.

    A nice size town. Easy access from the train station into town. Excellent coastal walk around to Portifino. Best place to swim Santa Margherita Ligure. A short walk from Rapallo. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

    We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

    Excellent location for beach holiday. If you are with car - best supermarket is COOP. There is gluten-free bakery named Il Fornaio Senza Glutine with unbelievable foccacia bread. Great train connection with other coast cities

    Weird place.

    Weird place. One side is terribly middle class, in the worst way. Another side, near the bocciofila, is old school lovely. The center is pretty dead - a few restaurants, but that's all. The sea is lively with waves and currents.

    There are so many places to eat!

    There are so many places to eat! The food is excellent pretty much everywhere. The focaccia si to die for and so is the farinata! When visiting Lavagna you can forget about the car and if you wish to visit 5 terre the train is very convenient! Smoking should be banned in all beaches, though!

    The most amazing central apartment overlooking the harbour. It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, comms were great too, directions and access instructions clear. We drove to Santa Margarita and left the car there as parking in Portofino was very expensive. We took the ferry into Portofino (€11), the best way to arrive. There is also a bus (€5), cabs start at €45 for 5 mile trip.

    Difficult access over a tight old bridge & steep, narrow access road which might put some people off. Also lots of steep steps from car park up to the Villa, some of which needed repair. Nice small seaside area which a few good restaurants & promenade.

    Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the hotel: the staff was very gracious, they even let us use some plates one day to have a lovely picnic outside and hooked us up with ice and glasses and things to enjoy our summer feast outdoors. They were so wonderful! They have created so much beauty on their property for guests to enjoy! It was truly lovely. I felt like I was in paradise! Rapallo was just OK for me. It seemed touristy and the food in town was my least favorite of my trip. Like they didn't care much about the quality of food they are serving the tourists. I get it, but it was just not very thrilling. But that's the effects of tourism. I was also surprised to learn that the beaches cant be accessed by everyone, as in the US. However, it is a beautiful town, the shops, bakeries, culinary stores are nice and I enjoyed them.

    It was not as hectic as some nearby villages.

    It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.
