SpainI stayed 2 nights with Abdullah and his family & friends. The village was very peaceful and quiet and I loved it. They took me to some local spots and it was a unique experience. The food was amazing. Also, their hospitality made me feel like I was at home, I wish I could have stayed longer.

You get to be onsite overnight, in this beautiful and tranquil setting, and have access to the Jordan River, and watch the stars. I have never slept so well or so deeply. And we even had the resident cat, Ginger, giving us the grand tour, and come to get us for breakfast the next morning 😄 The manager was very kind, and arranged for a priest in the Catholic church next door to give us a tour of the baptism site the next day (we are catholic). This was amazing, and we got a full explanation of each part of the site, and we got to spend time at each part of the baptism site. (Usually, to visit during the day, tours are only 30mins to only the main baptism part). Irena cooked us the best vegetarian dinner, and then an excellent breakfast the next morning, and was so kind. There is also tea, coffee and as many biscuits as you can eat provided! I can’t recommend highly enough!!Guest review byLouiseIreland

This hotel is right on the Dead Sea with walking paths to the beach. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a large room with a large bathroom and balcony. The rooms, hallways, reception areas, pools etc. were very clean and the food was very good with lots of variety. There are 2 children’s pools and an adult only pool with good poolside amenities eg loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs. Spa facilities and a gym are available. We observed maintenance staff stripping and restaining wooden railings, doorways etc. and washing outside tiled areas daily. Upkeep seemed very important at this resort. The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow. The place needs some attention and could use a coat of paint and some general maintenance. The staff are very nice, but why are there no women working there? Overall we would recommend Mujib Chalets. From the moment i arrived until i left i felt at home, everyone was kind, the owner his son and all his family. We had dinner together and I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening with all the relatives around a fire drinking tea. Safi Kitchen offers a variety of tours in the surrounding canyons and historical tours around the area. Excellent food, spacious apartment equipped with all comforts, internal parking. Best for experiencing the Dead Sea at a leisurely pace. One should only select the locations having direct access to the dead sea. We stayed at the Samarah resort so didn't actually go into the city, and didn't feel the need to. The facilities here may not be as good as found in other parts of Jordan. It all depends on the hotel/ staying accommodation selected. We also didn't explore the other tourist sites near Sowayma - if you feel the need to, then plan to stay for at least 3 nights.Guest review byLaukikIndia - 6.0

I like the location and the staff at the bar. They were friendly and polite. In my opinion this hotel should be 3 star. The breakfast had very limited choice of food; cleanliness much to be desire, staff didn't speak English (or barely speak) with bar staff be the exception. However my worse experience was with the lady that was security guard at the entrance to the hotel. I felt she was getting great pleasure in checking my grocery shopping!!
