The services offered are truly outstanding: free happy hour, 24-hour coffee and drinks, a smoking area on every floor, vending machines, microwaves, and beautiful, well-curated amenities. The room was extremely comfortable, with a great bed and a spacious, modern shower. You can feel the attention to detail and the guest’s well-being. Also, the location is strategic, perfect for exploring the area. Castle was one of the better examples of fuedel days. Had a chair lift to g et you up the Steep hill. View from the top tower was awesome. Dogo park was disappointing & very touristy. Would recommend adventuring through these inland sea islands. There is quite a bit to see. People are kind, landscape is beautiful, super safe, public transportation adequate. There is now a direct bus from Omishima bus stop to Hiroshima making it super easy.Guest review byKAUnited States - 10

The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing. We came here on a motorcycle/fishing trip. The motorcycle part was great. The fishing part…. was difficult😩 Lots of chinu (black bream) around and big, but they were not interested in the lures we used. Saw some locals catching them with bait, so we will have to change our strategy next time! Also, squid fishing is quite popular. One more thing, many restaurants only open for lunch or close/take last orders early so be prepared for this or you’ll be eating convenience store foods!🤣Guest review byAustinTaiwan - 10
Matsuyama is a city with a lot to offer.
Matsuyama is a city with a lot to offer. From the stunning views from Matsuyama castle, to the history of Dogo Onsen. It has many hidden gems in the form of cafes, traditional craft and cultural experiences and is a good jumping off point to see the rest of Ehime/Shikoku.Guest review byKai1582Japan - 10
Great base for riding the Shimanami Kaido.
Great base for riding the Shimanami Kaido. We rode for 2 days returning by ferry, with our bikes, from Habu. The town and port are easy to get around and the tourist information at the train station was excellent. We stayed near the station where there was a great choice of restaurants. We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so we only stayed in Imabari for one night. If I was to do this trip again I would do it over 3 or 4 days in order to stay a little longer and explore.Guest review byPiaJapan - 10
The Best part about Matsuyama was where we stayed.
The Best part about Matsuyama was where we stayed. It was Ryokan Kominka Mitsuhama, and it was detailed by a true artist. You have 2 floors of space with the bedroom upstairs and a large living room downstairs. The living room is surrounded by 2 different mature and well lit Japanese gardens. One had many Koi swimming in the ponds. So lovely! It was in a quiet, low key neighborhood but just 2 blocks to the river and near a little working fisherman's bay. The boats were squid fisherman with lights strung on them because they fish at night with the lights to attract the squid. There were plenty of small local restaurants and bakeries. When we booked we thought we were staying inImabari city. Because the address of Wakka is Imabari rather than Omishima island. So our only view of Imabari city was from train station and bus.
