- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 270 reviewsThe property it’s so beautiful that I don’t know where to start from to describe it. The location is one of the most epic I have ever seen. I have no words to describe the beauty around and the fact that where animals like elephants coming just right in front of the resort to drink water . Full of birds singing and the view from the bar was sensational. The room was so clean and spacious with one of the best view I have ever seen from my window. Wow 😍 Food was amazing , was a buffet style and a lot of variety . Again just perfect . The staff was super great, smiling , welcoming and always caring for the guests. We were also having lunch at the sister hotel Taita hills sancutuary resort and we loved that cause we could also use the facilities over there for example the swimming pool while you were waiting for the game drive . Our game driver philomen was the best driver ever. We saw so many animals and he was making sure we were capturing the perfects moments on our camera. We stayed 2 nights and we didn’t want to leave but only stay more in this part of paradise that we were so glad to experienced and we will never forget. We will definitely coming back to make more memories in this dream lodge .Guest review byValeriaItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 491 reviewsThe resort is huge, luxurious and offers a great variety of pools, restaurants and activities. The renovated rooms are very nice. The staff were fantastic, always cheery, welcoming, and the Jambo activities team were great fun with the water polo, volleyball and shuffle board games. Bar staff, cleaners, waiting teams will all make it feel like home as they greet you throughout the day. Small requests of ours were always met with help whether it be with food or hair conditioner. As vegans, we had a good choice of foods for each meal. The chefs even did vegan crepes each breakfast when we asked. Soya milk was also readily available, which was nice, and there were even milk and egg free cakes in the afternoons. The resort has a good variety of water sports at very reasonable prices. The spa and massage area is brilliant, so relaxing and well priced for all the treatments. We really enjoyed ours.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom

The food wow so good so many options great also for family with separate kids food also. The pools are so good also. Nightlife is good also with life entertainment dancing etc. Great Hotel for sports matches also and a fantastic spa and really good gym also. The best experience I have ever had on any vacation I have been on. Highly recommend.Guest review byShaneIreland
- From US$163.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.8Passable - What previous guests thought, 161 reviewsI had a fantastic stay at Reef Hotel in Nyali. The staff were warm and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special with a decorated room, singing, dancing, and a surprise cake during dinner. The beachfront location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with a mix of Swahili dishes, fresh fruits, omelettes, pastries, and cereals. A perfect blend of relaxation, great service, and Kenyan hospitality — highly recommended!Guest review byGKenya
- From US$280.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 555 reviewsAfter first visiting Whitesands 30 years ago I found everything to be even better than I remember with amazingly helpful, friendly staff (loved their uniforms), lovely rooms, good food (didn’t try the main dining in the evening as there’s plenty of alternatives) beautiful decor and perfectly situated in well tended gardens on the beach. Whats not to like? I totally recommend paying the bit extra here - it’s worth it.Guest review byNatashaUnited Kingdom

We were looking for a family holiday by the sea and can thoroughly recommend Mombasa. The apartment was on Lido beach which suited us perfectly and found a local taxi driver to take us to attractions such as Haller Park and Wild Water (water slides). The city is busy and there's significant work being done to the roads. So expect the occasional jam and some very bumby roads. In July the temp was just under 30 degrees C and there was a refeshing breeze from the south to temperate this. That also seemed to keep the mosquitoes at bay. We were pleasantly surprised to find some very good restaurants (e.g. CJ's near Wild Water - good food and good service). We didn't sample the night life nor take a safari to Amboseli - something for next time!Guest review byRobert - 10.0
Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on.
Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on. The reef about 500-600m offshore breaks the outer waves so inside the reef is moderately calm. Water shoes recommended due to sea urchins in some areas. A nice beach for walking, but you will be approached by vendors. A polite 'no' is usually sufficient. Several excellent places to eat along the stretch of beach where we stayed - Nomad's, Faulty's at the Flamboyant, Ali Barbour's Cave (reservation required), and Asha Boutique (Friday night beach buffet).Guest review byKenBinCanadaCanada - 10.0

Some really good beaches... very full day trips on boats... lots of stalls to purchase things... good supermarkets on the main road if you are staying in a villa... due to the heavy Italian tourist presence, there are plenty of great eateries and restaurants... easy to get around on motorbike or tuk tuk... generally very safe compared to Nairobi.Guest review byAsefUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Malindi is currently regarded as the "dead town" but in my opinion, it's the perfect escape from all sorts of pollution- Instantly replaced by the facinating historical landmarks like hell's kitchen & Mambrui in totality, peace & serene, are just some of the healing that Malindi has to offer.Guest review byKevinKenya - 10.0
Lamu is the real Swahili Coast. The atmosphère is authentic.
Lamu is the real Swahili Coast. The atmosphère is authentic. With everyone on foot because there are no cars the sense of community is very strong. Architectural style of the village has been well maintained. There are good local eateries, and the peponi restaurant in Shella village is outstanding. We went everywhere by water taxi. Charming!Guest review byOnowheremanUnited States - 8.0

The apartment is very pretty and the terrace on the creek offers beautiful vieux. In the morning many monkeys come to say "hi" : it's very funny indeed. If you like to walk...it needs only 10 minutes to go in town. Close to the apartment there are 2 very nice restaurants on the sea, where it's possible to eat very good food.Guest review byBagnone - 8.0

It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on some of my Property but I was frustrated because I ended up staying for more Days than I had wanted. It is loud and congested.but if one has his own home is Ok but there are other nice places to enjoy and have fun It easy to get round Mtwapa, by Tax Tuk tuk and motor Bikes and public means of transport called Matatus.Guest review byRose - 10.0

Driving to the lodge didn’t encounter many animals due to bush and lava rock. But at Serena we saw hundreds of animals including many small babies come to the large waterhole right in front of us. So we did not bother with safari drive. This made for a very relaxing stayGuest review byAvalongirlAustralia - 10.0

Its a nice place with a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Water in the apartments are however salty, I assume its because of the beach surrounding the area. Food and activities are expensive around this area.Guest review byAyomideNigeria
