The breakfasts were a rotation of four different menus. Multigrain bread, croissants, cereals, seasonal fruit, and juices were fresh each day and plentiful. It was enough to keep us going for the day. The location on the Mekong was stunning, with little refreshing breezes if we spent the afternoon. Mornings and evenings on the riverside were gorgeous. Best of all, staying on the property surrounded by the old Laotian homes was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It felt nostalgic and familiar, and unique at once. The homes were beautifully designed with ample modern bathrooms, too. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable about meeting our needs. The host is an exceptionally compassionate, interesting, and fun man.

A brand new hotel with a pool next to the room(ground floor). You can literally jump into the pool from your room, take a swim and get out to be back in your room again (We didn't do it because it was December, but definitely do it if your are in Laos during the hotter months). The rooms are spacious and perfect for couples. The staff is warm, polite and always there to attend to your requests. We loved the regular supply of delicious mangoes in the breakfast everyday! I have stayed in many high-end hotels with generic breakfast, but the breakfast here tasted better, even if the breakfast spread is not huge. I found an adorable cat sitting outside our room in the balcony. The cat didn't want to leave us, and neither did we, but cat lovers can expect a pleasant surprise, though not everyday. The location is just the right distance from the center of Luan Prabang, which can be quite crowded over the weekends. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great option.

this property was excellent. The design of the rooms, breakfast, location and the helpfulness of staff could not have been better. it was in a very attractive setting on a quiet road opposite a temple and very central. breakfast was superb and fresh. The breakfast was very good and had a good selection of everything in an a l carte menu. There was oat milk and other non standard choices. The location was 10 minutes from the city center but there is a complimentary driver bringing you to and picking you up from the city. That is an excellent service and it was always quickly available. The staff is super friendly and doing everything to make your stay comfortable and adjusting to certain needs. We have had some problems with our travel schedule and needed to change and the hotel staff and management went out of their way and fixed all problems. The rooms are very nice and the one we booked has been spacious. The tent rooms have a great view and air condition as well as heating works well. The view from the bathtub is great. The property is well kept and the pool is nice. The environment is beautiful as a river flows through the property on several spots. There is quite a tropical atmosphere due to many plants and it feels overall relaxing.

I loved the location, not too far from the historic centre, and the fact that a minibus took us to the post office, close to all the historic sites (and postcards only took a week to arrive in Europe). The room was lovely and big and really well equipped. Loved the fact that there was a gorgeous pool just outside the room. It was perfect after a day of tourism and very quiet. The breakfast was nice and the restaurant served lovely food. Staff members were really helpful.

This hotel was first-class with a spectacular garden. Travelling since about 50 years all over the world and a lot in Asia and the South Pacific region, I never ever stayed in a place with such a beautiful garden: Lotus ponds, orchids, tillandsia etc. etc. The hotel was well designed, very clean, the staff very friendly and well trained. It has been a great pleasure to stay there.

It’s a beautiful property, the breakfast on the terrace was one of the highlights. The architecture makes you feel as if you have been transported back in time. It’s centrally located, at walking distance from most of the main temples and night market. Rooms are spacious and well equipped.

Loved the colonial charm of Luang Prabang and its chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Managed to visit the elephant sanctuary at Mandalao and would recommend as you go to the elephants in their environment and only observe.

We really enjoyed just walking around the old city.

We really enjoyed just walking around the old city. It's small and yet we still ate a different restaurant for every meal, had cocktails at sunset by the river several times, went to beautiful waterfalls, visited the buffalo dairy farm and went to several Wats. Luang Prabang was not part of our original SE Asia tour but we ended up going and so happy we did. Jungala Lounge bar for food/drinks on the Nam Khan River 360 Sunset for an inexpensive bottle of bubbles at sunset Tangor Bistro, had amazing lentil hummus and chicken strips unlike any I've ever had Tamarind is a teaching restaurant with excellent local food Khaiphaen is also a teaching restaurant with amazing food for a great price. Sena Steak House although we didn't have steak is good Manola Cafe had good pizza

Our wallet was stolen on the first day we arrived...

Our wallet was stolen on the first day we arrived luangprabang, we lost some Thai baht worth around usd500 not a big deal as we stopped our cards right away. The thing is if something happens to you, you got robbed/raped got sick or whatever unfortunate thing occur to you, never expect police or authorities to come to help you as there's no one willing to do the work. However, Laotian people are mostly kind so if you plan to go I wish you a lot of luck.
