We had a warm welcome with tea/coffee offered upon arrival. During the stay the host was very approachable for any questions we had. It’s conveniently located and walking distance to the entrance of Adams Peak. Nice breakfast is served, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We really enjoyed our stay here, it felt like staying in a cozy home. After moving from hotel to hotel, it felt so nice to come into a warm and comfortable home with a cozy bed. And I liked that dinner and breakfast takes place at a big family table with other guests, once again it felt cozy. But above all, I have to give credit to the incredible service we received. I arrived with a very bad cold, slight fever, etc. Soon after we arrived and he saw I was sick, Madhavan came to our room with a steaming bowl with ginger and lime leaves and some ayurvedic medicine to help with my congestion. He repeated the same action twice more during our stay, and was so so kind, bringing me tea constantly, asking how I was, etc. All the employees at the hotel were above and beyond with their service and attention, and Madhavan's kindness with me will be remembered long after our trip. Oh - and they have a gorgeous swing in the garden where you can lounge about and read on. If you're tired of staying in impersonal hostals and are looking for a cozy stay in a big comfortable house, look no further :)

The team of Mr. Janarthan was extremely polite and kind, satisfying all spoken and unspoken wishes of their guests. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area, with breath-taking views. The room was very spacious and convenient. Every day some treat was left in the room - either fruits or sweets. The food in the restaurant is very tasty. The people hosting the guest house were definitely my highlight. Roshan, his wife and daughter were so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face! Roshan even dropped me at the railway station on the last day, which was super nice! The breakfast was very delicious and enough. The beds were super comfortable and the room very spacious. There is a shortcut to get into the city that‘s why the location of the guest house is also fine. Would definitely come back next time!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Croft Cottage! The property is a stunning British-style 3-storey villa, beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Taranga, the housekeeper, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable in every way. His attention to detail, hospitality, and genuine care made the experience exceptional — he truly elevated our time here. Overall, Croft Cottage is the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and luxury. I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. This was an absolute oasis and one of the biggest highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Flawless service throughout from Ragu, Pugal and the whole team. Unforgettable accommodation and experience. The tour of the surrounding tea fields was brilliant. Cannot recommend more highly.
