Very good location, great view from the balcony to the lake and there was a Mango tree just next to our balcony, on which Flying foxes were dining at nights! Unforgettable!!! Great local food in the restaurant!!! Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!!!

The place was fantastic, it was amazing to wake up with the view from the window: forest, river, mountains and sounds of nature only! We took “making and tasting tea tour”, it was incredible experience to collect the tea and see in my own eye what I saw in National geographic. The stuff was very good, the food was tasty and the house was beautiful

We had the best stay at Chariot Square. The staff was welcoming and kind. The breakfast was delicious, the accommodations were great and the hotel had an amazing view. Our stay was made extra special by Rathna who took us on a Tea Tuk Tuk tour that was a highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The location is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have A/C and hot water, comfy beds. Some rooms have great rooms. The property is well built and unique. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They treat the guests with respect. I had several special requests and they accommodated every exceptionally. The food there js also great as they have a full menu and it is so convenient have a meal without leaving the property. The environment in quiet it is great to unwind by the pool in the evening. This has become my go-to place when I visit Kandy. I will definitely recommend Muduna Walawwa for anyone who travels to Kandy.

We are warmly welcomed by the hotel since the first step we get off the car, me and my family are all very happy with the very much friendly staff, the buffet in the restaurant is also nice with live music, bring the holiday to a happy atmosphere. Heaven! We had a family room being a group of 4. We loved it. The boys did the tea factory tour and enjoyed a lot while us girls were chilling at the amazing pool. Delicious food and extremely cozy. Very clean and nice staff.

People advised us to have 2 days in Kandy - we would have...

People advised us to have 2 days in Kandy - we would have been fine with just one. The weather did not help us it rained on and off the entire time we were there. Temple of the Sacred Tooth - tick - walk around the Botanical gardens - tick - Shopping DISMAL - Kandyan dance performance extremely touristy. I wish we had allocated an extra day for the hill country instead of Kandy, Best meal we had was at the Hideaway Lounge. Central market - awful fresh food and spices but seriously hideous tourist souvenirs. Old building needs renovation.

We lived here as children.

We lived here as children. Our father taught at Zahira College. We had contacted them and they received is kindly and showed us around. We found the house where we lived and the lady there was very friendly. Our father's friend's son and daughter gave us lunch at their resort. All that was great.

We had a fantastic stay at Symphony Homes during our visit to Kandy. The villa looks exactly like the photos — modern, very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The peaceful location was perfect, yet only a short drive to Kandy city and major attractions. The private garden was lovely to relax in, and the fully equipped kitchen made our stay even more comfortable. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful private villa in Kandy!

Probably the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only minus could be a lack of internet connection in the cotttage, but, really, who cares for wi fi in such scenery, and it is available in public area.

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must...

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must see sights - the Temple of The tooth, a walk around the lake, the Big Buddha. Peradeniya Botanical Gardens are just on the edge of the city. The market is bustling. If you are there in late July/early August you may catch the Perahera Festival - a parade of dressed elephants, fire whirlers, Kandy Dancers, Drummers and whip crackers.

It was a visit to Ride Viharaya, and All Viharaya Rock temples in Central Sri Lanka. We did not stay long to visit All Lena (there Place where Thiptaka was originally written on Ola leaves) and Nalanda Gedige (Geographical centre of Sri Lanka)

The city centre is very polluted but there is a lot to see...

The city centre is very polluted but there is a lot to see and it is worth exploring. I highly recommend taking a tuk tuk tour to visit the sights. We had an adventurous day out with Explore Kandy with Sajith Tuk Tuk Tours.
