Breakfast was excellent for such a remote place. People were so friendly. Rooms were clean. Bar was nice, the resataurant was glass roof. They have many plants in the restaurant, and is claimed to be the greenest place in Svalbard. The views are good, Location is close to city center, and a walking distance from Radisson Blu where most activities are starting. Also walking distance from Church, Brewery, Museums, Restaurants etc. From Airport there is a shuttle bus and this is the first stop.

This is fabulous hotel on the edge of town - the staff were a highlight, from my checkin with Richard to the incredibly warm and helpful Tina and other receptionist from the UK, and really great bar staff Davide, Tito, and Tartour who were genuinely friendly and as interested in the landscape and all Svalbard has to offer. The company is fortunate to have such great staff! The hotel was perfectly cosy and inviting as were its staff! The n. lights can be seen from the back of the hotel - it was perfect.

Very nice accommodarion, Elena was very kind and helpful, there were always some delicious snacks prepared. Good location, close to the city centre, between mountains. We were super happy with this place and can strongly recommend!

The apartment was quite spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cutleries. Remembering some of the reviews, we took some ingredients with us and brought some from the supermarket nearby. We had two bedrooms, but one the bedrooms did not have a closet. The apartment was almost always at a comfortable temperature. We would love to be back here. Sound and air insulations were really good. We had a good overall stay!

Room was nice, it had a sink, which is useful. I would recomend ear plugs and eye mask, I am light sleeper, but with this I had no problems. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. People that work there are super friendly. Special thanks to the girls that made us breakfast every morning! <3 Kitchen and bathrooms were clean, allthough there was many people, and for keeping it clean and easier fot the staff, it is necessary for each individual to clean up after themself. Overall, I had a great stay and would like to come back.

I booked a room at Coal Miner's Cabins for a quick holiday with a friend. Due to maintenance work, the hostel was closed, but I was contacted, and my stay was upgraded for free to Funken Lodge hotel, which is much more expensive and luxurious. Very professional behaviour from the hostel.
