Emaad and Zaheed made our stay amazing and their hospitality was the best. The setting was fantastic and such a special stay in the desert. We had a great meal in the evening and it was nice waking up in the desert. I recommend this stay.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Milky Way Domes features barbecue facilities. The property was built in 2023 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony.

Best place ever , up on a dune - with amazing views . Stargazing at night - incredible experience - choose if possible the last dome - furthest away From the main place - has better views . The food was great and the staff - incredible and well worth it - don’t look anywhere else - Milky Way domes - thank you !

Being far away in the desert, the place had a special atmosphere and the accommodation was both practical and in harmony with the peacefulness of the nature. The cottage had everything we needed - including private bathroom, warm water and electiricty. The breakfast and supper prepared by the staff were delicious.

We had a wonderful stay at Stars – Oman Desert Camp. The camp has only two tents, which makes it very private, peaceful, and perfect for enjoying the desert without the crowds. The tents are clean, comfortable, and well arranged, with beautiful views of the dunes and starry night skies. The host, Ali, is amazing – very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. He made us feel at home and shared with us the true spirit of Omani hospitality. ‏+ The camp was in a fantastic location in the desert completely surrounded by dunes. The tents were extremely comfortable as were the beds. I slept like a baby. The outside toilets/showers were whopped you would expect from camping experience but perfectly usable and not a problem. The camp itself was very spacious and the tents were located some distance away from each other giving that feeling of isolation to some degree. The staff organised a variety of different activities which looked to be at a reasonable price. The camper staff are able to organise a transfer from a local village into the dunes if you only choose to hire a two wheel drive car. It looked to be just about possible to get to the camp with the two wheel drive car but not for the fainthearted, and would require a good degree of confidence

We had an unforgettable experience here, like in a fairy tale from the Arabian Nights amidst the breathtaking desert dunes, we experienced genuine, warm hospitality. We checked into a villa that we were told was ours and were looked after by Tushar, who was invisible, very respectful of privacy and yet always there when we needed him. He explained that the owner of the house, Mohammed, had told him that it wasn't about money, the only important thing was that the guests were happy and that they were treated like family. The landlord, Mohammed himself, took us into the desert and treated us to a big dinner in the middle of the dunes, and when a sandstorm came up, Mohammed even conjured up an innovative shelter for us out of flying carpets. On the day of our departure, we were surprised by Mohammed and his children who visited us with presents, we experienced the great hospitality of Oman first hand and felt at home, and now, back home, we miss it very much.
