Though a small city, with the St Agustin Church & Plaza being the main attraction, the outskirts are beautiful and offer lot of things to do like in Silay, where beautiful Ancestral Heritage homes still stand after more than a century, as well as, very good food trip like El Ideal for their divine crispy thin piayas, guapple pie, and more. Pahanocoy is another outskirt that’s just a 20-minute public bus ride from SM Mall to organic farm FreshStart Organic & Natural where I had exquisite culinary experience in their Lanai Restaurant, 1 of 4, in its organic grounds. The owners & staff even made the time to welcome and visit with me and share their passion of sustainable organic farm to table dining experiences!!!! Likewise, they are spearheading reintroducing only the elite, 400 years ago could afford & taste, the most expensive Criollo Cacao in the world and have won golds in all it’s completions, locally n abroad as far as Paris, France, today!!!Guest review byLornaUnited States - 10

Sipalay was a beautiful place to stay, specially when you need some fresh air to breath and want some peace, you can visit Sipalay because the place was so nice and peaceful. The people there was so nice. It was my first time visiting Sipalay and I was so overwhelmed how nice the place was. The house was huge, easily sleeps 10 people comfortably. The hosts where very friendly. The house is in a quiet safe location. There is an a gym 100 metres up the road. One of the best I have ever seen in the Philippines. Metro Supermarket is 10 minutes up the road with a market next door. The only thing I didn't like, the house was a little dirty in some areas. Could have been cleaned a little better. The air conditioner in the master bedroom didn't work properly and the microwave didn't work. But besides that the home was great. Sipalay is only 4 hours by car or private transport from Bacolod city. It is a small laidback clean town. Sugarbeach has a beautiful long sandy beach with half a dozen different resorts.
