Great place to chill in at winter, all possible wellness facilities including outdoor jacuzzi under the snowfall :) Stuff is friendly, meals and deserts very testy and of a great variety, rooms of a decent size, hotel is new itself so everything works as a clockwork. Many families with the small kids and toddlers, hotel is a family hotel indeed. Drive carefully, roads via mountains can be tricky.

The hotel is brand new and very stylish . Kids told that is looked the best of all they’ve been before . 2 room number was a perfect fit for me and 2 kids. Internet was perfect in the room and at the lobby as well which was very important for my online work . Helpful personnel and tasty breakfast . I had to arrive late and there were no issues with entering the hotel late at night but you need to tell them about it beforehand !

Accommodation fulfilled all our expectations for the fair price. Rooms, which we ordered just hour before, were ready (including extra bed). Staff was friendly and kind to us as well as to our curious little son who was roaming around breakfast room in the morning. They offer beer from small brewery in Humenne. Parking was full at time of our arrival due to volleyball tournament, so we needed to squeeze our cars somewhere among. After 18:00 we were able to park comfortably in front of hotel. Thank you for nice stay.

    We sincerely had the time of our lives at the hotel and in Stary Smokovec. The hotel has an incredible team that organises activities for kids literally all day long. My 5-year-old loved the games, plays, and all sorts of fun. The hotel offers a fantastic range of amenities for children, including a fun pool area, bouncy castle, playroom, cinema, ping pong tables, bowling, and probably even more! And to top it all off, there was popcorn for the little ones and champagne for the adults served at the reception area every day.This is easily one of the best family hotels you could visit. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional—my wife and I absolutely loved the food! I could go on and on about how wonderful our stay was. A huge thank you to all the amazing staff at the hotel who took such great care of us! We can't wait to see you again next year.

    Fantastic 3 Star Hotel which actually deserves 4 or more stars!!! Food was delicious and every evening/breakfast they served new dishes with plenty of options. The cooks really did a great job!!! Wellness area was nice and comfortable and offered also enough space for swimming and relaxing. The staff was extraordinary!!! Everyone payed attention and did not mind to support the other colleagues. Prices for drinks and wellness were reasonable (Only the dog fee with 20 Euro per night was in my opinion a little too high) Besides that this is a great Hotel in Tatranska Lomnica in best location to the city center and ski lifts. Rooms are beeing modernized, as I saw, so I believe it will be a perfectly modern Hotel soon!

    Mostly everything. We knew this hotel from 40 years ago when my grandparents stayed there. It was a fancy hotel back then and although it aged, they managed to revamp it in a way that it is a very good value for money. The wellness section has so much variety we could spend the whole day there. Room is spacious and comfortable. Other facilities like kids club and bowling are great addition for families with kids. Location is fantastic, all the main hiking routes pass by the hotel, we didn't even take the car out most days.

    Location is the best! We booked room with the lake view, and that was the best decision ! Stunning views! Caffe/restaurant is very cozy and with lots of options. Even for me as a vegan they made some vegan dish and had vegan dessert! Also included breakfast was sooo goood, never ever in my life I had tofu and guacamole at the hotels breakfast!!! Amazing! It was short stay but so enjoyable!

    Quiet, quaint and relaxing, with decent bars and restaurants , the backdrop for the town are the Tatras mountains, which seem to change at different times of the day, with shadow and light , if nature and fresh air is your thing, then it’s perfect, probably one to avoid if late night parties and karaoke bars are what you are after

    Due to recent property developments, Smokovce are no longer the quaint, picturesque village it used to be. It got more crowded and noisier. Nevertheless, compared to Štrbske Pleso or Tatranska Lomnica, it is a good choice for a holiday in the High Tatras.

    I was up in the mountains so didn't see much of the towns. I got the little train up from Stary Smokoviec and went for shopping in Strbske Pleso. Neither town appeals to me but Popradske Pleso is gorgeous. One of my favourite places in the Tatras.

    Amazing town - easy to reach popular hiking spots, mountain lift in town, great nature museum (really recommend it for a rainy or a lazy day) in general good atmosphere and friendly people. We loved the nature and mountains, but also enjoyed that after a hike you could visit one of many restaurants or bars and enjoy a nice evening. We would recomend starting the day early - parking lots near most popular hike tracks fill up quickly, but honestly everywhere you turn nature looks amazing. If you decide to visit the mines be warned that tour is in slovakian and polish languages - no information was said in english and qr code near mine entrance with info was just like reading a history book and it was hard to understand where we are during the tour as we scrambled to see which part to read. If you can catch it we strongly recommend dinner and star wathing on mountain top - it was SO NICE - completely worth it for just getting on the mountain after dark, but also food was surprisingly good and they had live music. Tickets are sold by gopass and it happens rarely, but it shouldn't be missed given the oportunity. Oh and if you come by car seeing Unesco heritage castle is a must - just about 40 min drive, but so worth it.     Presov has beatiful main square and main street with renaisance, impressive buildings, beautiful old town hall and an impressive Gothic con-cathedral which is by the way taller than St Michel-St Gudula gotic cathedral in Brussels and the city has played an important role in the 14th-17th century during the Habsburg vs Protestants periods. The city has had their own small army, richness from the trade that was a centre between Cracow and Buda with underground caves with Tokaj wine where Prešov /Eperjes/Fragopolis was the main owner of Tokaj wine fields and whereas the name for Tokaj hills is still named after Prešov - Eperjesi hegyek, the city of Prešov has an important Jewish museum and synagogue, where the museum was recently unfortunately temporary closed by the state, ministry. The city had famous Lutheran collegium a higher school in mediaval time and Greek catholic and Orthodox impressive churches. There is University which produce many valuable historical books in last decades:

    The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it...

    The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it in different time of the year. Transport is great however if you are paying for cable cars it can get expensive but simillary you will pay the price in different countries. If skying it is worth booking the passes in advance as it saves a lot of money.

    Velka Lomnica is a village bellow High Tatras mountains ideal for stay when visiting the mountains. You can use your car to move around or you can use also local trains operating right to the touristic centers (Smokovec, Polianka, Tatranska Lomnica, Strbske Pleso and so on). In the village you have good options to buy food or to enjoy local gastronomy in restaurants. City of Poprad is just few minutes of driving or a short journey by train.

    I liked the most hospitality and accomodation.

    I liked the most hospitality and accomodation. I dislike that in this the time there were some Gorals days and it wasn’t possible go to the “cloud pavement” without buying an expensive ticket for this event. So my hiking up was useless.

    Nova Lesna is The Perfect Place to stay when you want to...

    Nova Lesna is The Perfect Place to stay when you want to visit the High Tatras. It is close, it has great value for money and has some really beautiful places to stay at with spectacular view. I have been here twice so far but definitely will come back every time we want to go hiking in these beautiful mountains. The train is close by and quick, there are shops here and so many options to choose where you want to stay.

    A very historic and interesting town.

    A very historic and interesting town. Beautifully restored after decades of neglect. IMMACULATE centre. UK could learn some lessons. For us, it was a base for visiting the UNESCO wooden churches and there is a superb English-speaking guide bookable at the TIC at the top of the square. She speaks Slovak so can get the key for these unique and glorious churches. Lists of names and numbers at each church. Be careful of parking on the square; not permitted in daytime. Check notices. SUPERB beyond words restaurant ASSISI with 5* cafe opposite. Easy to spend the day there. It is on a train route from Kosice to where we flew with Wizzair. Quiet little airport. Lovely small walkable town.
