- From $111.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 479 reviewsFor many reasons we were very pleased with our four-night stay at Dar Souad. One reason for that is that our accommodation was very comfortable. The rooms were large and bright, attractively furnished and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, the showers excellent, and one room had a good-sized balcony with two large deck chairs. Another reason is that Dar Souad is filled with furniture and furnishings of great beauty -- tiles, lamps, chests, and much more. The internal courtyard with its pool, plants and art objects is especially attractive. Moreover, there are many very attractive places to sit and to talk or to read or to sip cool drinks. In addition, staff were friendly and helpful. A very special feature of Dar Souad is the quality -- and indeed the diversity -- of the cuisine. Breakfast was an exciting meal with numerous familiar and unfamiliar items -- all fresh, tasty and harmonious. We ordered dinner for three evenings and were delighted with the results. Every dish was flavourful but never heavy or exaggerated. We certainly recommend the tagines and the Ottoman ragout. Seasonal vegetables were featured. It was March, and artichokes, peas, and carrots were abundant. Desserts were always a real treat. In short, we very much appreciated the refined, delicate and tasty meals. The location of Dar Souad suited us well, especially as we had a car. The various Punic and Roman sites in Carthage were easy to reach; driving to the Medina and to the fabulous Bardo Museum took time, but neither trip was problematic and parking was not a problem. Parking near the Dar Souad was also not a problem.Guest review byRachelUnited States
- From $214.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 669 reviewsA beautiful property, excellent location across from the beach. The terrace / restaurant on the top floor is excellent. The suite I stayed at was very nice with two small balconies facing the beach. The staff are superb. Many thanks to Thamer at reception for being amazingly helpful in booking a tour for me on a short notice to visit Dougga and Bulla Regia, and also for him and the hotel’s kind gesture on my birthday which was on my first day at that hotel. Also many thanks to Jemal at the ground floor restaurant and to all the staff there for being always kind, professional and very helpful. A memorable stay.Guest review byRabieUnited Arab Emirates

The room was cool and comfortable (much appreciated in the soaring July temperatures). It was in the heart of the Medina, and after the first two days we learned the route almost by heart. Everything was very clean and lovingly decorated. It was an all around wonderful stay.Guest review byElizabethAustria

Gammarth is a small village that may not offer a wide range of activities or sights, but it's a charming spot nonetheless. For those seeking more options, nearby La Marsa has almost everything you could need, including a small mall just a short taxi ride away—less than 15 minutes. The round trip cost, including tips, was under £10, making it an easy and affordable excursion.Guest review byHayetUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is an exquisitely decorated, beautful place to stay.
This is an exquisitely decorated, beautful place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the staff exceptionally helpful. It is in a quiet area away from the old city which is always incredibly busy and noisy. The pool was beautuful as was the garden. There are nice places to eat nearby and historic places to visit.Guest review byThomson - 10.0

Sidi Bou Said is a traditional village, plenty of market stalls and restaurants to suit all budgets, sea views at various locations throughout the village are excellent. Some steep and uneven surfaces to deal with but well worth it.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The location of Dar Salah Bey is very good and has access to everything nearby, the house is cosy, loved the architecture and design, but the owner of the property is required to improve the facilities and kitchen equipment, like good knives for cooking, a new set of forks, spoons, and cooking tools, also provide a good iron and iron board, fix the leakage of a tap connected to the washing machine, provide new and fresh bed covers and sheets, and also provide clothes drying rack, as we struggled to dry our clothes.Guest review byOUMAIMA.LTFIraq - 10.0
Nice area.
Nice area. A lot of the shops and stuff are relatively spread out. Really nice people who genuinely help you. Taxis are a bit of a pain from the airport, as they were a little expensive to what I would have thought. However you have to bargain with them a bit.Guest review byShahidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Bed is comfortable, strong WIFI, hot water is adequate for shower, room temp is perfect for sleeping, generous breakfast and hospitality of Hakim is very much appreciated. Beyond customer satisfaction. Thank you. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. Perfect for a solo traveller. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I will not hesitate to book it again if I happened to be in this country. Hakim and Carol merci beacoup.Guest review byLuzvimindaCanada - 10.0

If you are a history fan and like monuments or beaches, this will be your favorite destination. BUT There are some unmentioned rules: 1. Bargaining (the prices are higher than they should be, so do not forget to bargain) 2. NEVER buy anything from the stalls outside of monuments. They usually sell tooooo expensive, even if you bargain to a quarter of the price, it is still expensive. I had a very bad experience, unfortunately. 3. Be careful with your pockets and be aware of using your phone in the streets. 4. The prices in the cartage land are very good for buying handicrafts. 5. You can use ''Louage'' to transport to other cities. Not modern but very affordable.Guest review byReyhaneh - 8.0
Four Seasons is a lovely place to relax with the family.
Four Seasons is a lovely place to relax with the family. I suggest a 5 day visit so one can then plan day trips to Hammamet and Djerba as well. one could also spend 3 days at four seasons hotel and then 2 nights in Hammamet if you really want to enjoy a beach.Guest review byMr HaqUnited Kingdom - 8.0
La marsa beach was right outside our guest house.
La marsa beach was right outside our guest house. We could walk to the main part of the beach and the shops and restaurants. We were out of season, visiting during Ramadan so it was relatively quiet. Some restaurants were not open at all, some only during the day, others only at night. We managed to find somewhere to eat every day. I can recommend the Cliff restaurant, Pasta mi Basta (very accommodating with our friend who had various intolerances), Kenko food bar and Blu Blu (Sidi Bou). There was a supermarket which catered for our needs. We also visited the capital Tunis and Sidi Bou Said which had lovely shops and stunning views.Guest review byTracey NUnited Kingdom
