If I could give this hotel an 11 that is what I would do! The check-in experience was amazing. Maruko was quite simply the most impressive hotel clerk I have ever met. She provided us with very helpful advice for our trip, and did everything in such a cheerful and effective way that one could not help but to be impressed. She even left us with a lovely, hand-written card at the end (complete with very cute pictures which she drew). I may frame this card :) After staying previously at a hotel in Taipei which did not meet our expectations, it was such a joy to stay at the CityInn. Everything was done just in the right way. It was clean, restful and smart. They kept our luggage for us as we travelled around which made a huge difference. Obvously I would stay here again - indeed I don't think there is anywhere else I would even think about staying in Taipei.

    This is a very good hotel in this category. The outside looks quite boring but the inside of the hotel is very nice and cosy. The family room we booked was very comfortable and big enough for the four of us. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was in my opinion above average for this type of hotel, with a very wide range of options, and everything was very fresh and well prepared. The swimming pool is also great - it surely doesn't have the charm of a rooftop pool but is very convenient, quite big, and our kids had a lot of fun.

    This was our second stay at the hotel and it exceeded our expectations. From the responsive communications before our arrival, to the well-appointed, clean rooms and all the friendly and helpful staff we came in contact with, the whole experience was unforgettable and we look forward to returning. We found the beds and pillows incredibly comfortable to sleep on. The location is a short commute from the more lively suburbs/CBD, which suited us as we preferred staying in a slightly quieter area.

    We used the hotel as a base for a three week trip to Taiwan returning to the hotel several times and leaving luggage there. It was perfect for that with all transport accessible directly from the hotel.. The staff were very accommodating. The price (about UK£70 pn booked several months in advance) was very good and they upgraded our rooms on request. They even allowed my son and his wife to leave their luggage when they weren't staying there. Perfect.

I could speak Mandarin but I also really appreciated that the staff was very willing to speak English to my partner. breakfast spread (both Taiwanese and western breakfast) were amazing. Loved the pineapple cakes and bought extras to bring back home! also loved the comfortable slippers from the room and wanted to buy a pair but too bad my size was not available.

    Great hotel with excellent services. Bed is very comfortable and room services are quick and perfect. Location is less ideal (12 mins walk to metro) but given the quality of facilities and services I would def stay here again. There is a 24 hours book store next door for the ones who love reading.     I think the mix of traditional and tropical feel in Taipei was really interesting to see. There was a large range of places to explore - from artist villages to nightlife. Getting around was easy with public transport. Overall a fun place to stay.

    I love Taipei!!!

    I love Taipei!!! How organized and easy their transportation system from the airport to the city and going around. But more than anything, I love their night markets. If only I could try and eat everything. Their milk teas, they are all yummy regardless of where you buy it from. So many places to visit. I definitely will come back here.
