- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 113 reviewsOur stay was both comfortable and convenient. It was close enough to all of the historical sites we planned to visit, but far enough away from the crowd and confusion. Thank you to our host couple, Steve and Teresa. Teresa's breakfasts were wonderful and so planned out. She didn't miss a detail, from table settings to food presentation. Everything was delicious. It's easy to see that she loves and enjoys what she does. And Steve was very knowledgeable with historical facts and the history of their beautiful home. Such a pleasant couple. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this wonderful B & B.Guest review byBarbUnited States
- From US$122.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 122 reviewsThis was my first stay at this chain. The building, the layout and the rooms/furnishings were very much like a standard chain, such as Comfort Inn, but better maintained, cleaner and MUCH quieter. Bed and linens nice quality, sufficient outlets, good lighting, no slamming doors - a rare, quiet night in a hotel!Guest review byAmyUnited States

The Gettysburg National Park is a must see for everyone!
The Gettysburg National Park is a must see for everyone! There is so much history in this little town. Go to the Visitor Center for sure. They have a museum and bus tours available. There are also horse back riding tours available. There are many options to purchase audio for a self guided auto tours available on line too. Highly recommend visiting Sachs Bridge, Little Round Top and the Eisenhower farm. When you're not on the battle field, there are numerous places to eat and places to shop. Also, bring a nice camera for some amazing photos.Guest review bySara SLUnited States - 10.0

My daughter flew to Pittsburgh and our trip began with a two day stop in Lancaster before heading to Hagerstown. She was so delighted at how beautiful and well organized the visitors center was and how well staff it was with such knowledgeable individuals who are incredibly invested in their jobs as they share fascinating yet horrific stories of the loss of so many lives as mostly men fought to make the changes needed for this country to become the start of the nation that we know today. Actually seeing graves and fields so vividly described as they were transformed into mass murder scenes. We all left the area sad, yet so thankful to all of the men who fought and died for all of us. The area around the battlefields and memorials is easy to walk and full of interesting shops and beautiful scenery.Guest review byJosephUnited States - 4.0

This location was convenient, but the property was disappointing in terms of poor quality linens and furniture. The entry is dark with a noticeable smell. The property needs fresh paint and better quality linens to be a desirable site. The small bathroom has no flat surface for toiletries and 2 of the 3 over the sink light bulbs were burned out. The beds were comfortable enough, but 2 of the 3 bedrooms were crowded with beds.Guest review byMaryCanada - 10.0

If you want to learn about the battle that was fought in Gettysburg make sure to go on a free guided walking tour by a park ranger. They are very informative and you will surely learn something new. You can join one of these free tours at the visitors center and museum or get a schedule with meet up locations for the day.Guest review byGaryUnited States - 10.0

A growing city in Washington County MD with lots to see and do. Especially if you're a civil war buff. There's the famous Antietam Battlefield. We actually lived there for 16 years before moving to NC in 2008. Since then it's grow so much that we we return we hardly recognize it.Guest review byDwightUnited States - 10.0
Gettysburg is a historic town everyone in this country...
Gettysburg is a historic town everyone in this country should see. The battle in 1863 is one that should, but unfortunately is not, well taught in high schools around the country, being a pivotal battle in the Civil War. The town has done a good job at embracing its historic past and added something for everyone. From horseback battlefield tours with licensed battlefield guides to ghost tours of the town. Plenty of good restaurants and bars and charming hotels/bed n breakfasts to stay. In my mind, a must see.Guest review byHowes - 8.0

Hagerstown is at a crossroads in Maryland, so it has plenty of places to eat and shop near the interstates. The downtown has potential, but there are not too many places to grab a drink or shop, however the Maryland Theater is outstanding. The Hagerstown City Park is also a highlight. Additionally, there are several national parks close to Hagerstown, so if you are a history buff, you won't be disappointed.Guest review byTim MooreUnited States
