The individual touch on all the support given and the responsiveness to any requests made. Staff is just brilliant, especially at breakfast (thanks a lot Ron!!). Food was of good quality and variety, room was very quiet, not much (to none) waiting time for elevators (we were at 27th floor). Location is perfect. Clearly a place to come back whenever going to NYC.

I recently stayed at The Chemists Club Hotel with my girlfriend and had an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch—every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay special. The room was beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable, still smelling fresh because the whole hotel just went into renovation. The attention to detail was impressive, from the luxurious bedding to the thoughtful amenities provided. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore manhattan, next to Grand Central. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations, and we can’t wait to return and we will be back here for sure.

The location is extraordinary! The hotel is located a mere handful of steps off times square and Broadway. Despite that, the room was surprisingly quiet. Both of us slept well and besides some buzz from the vent / AC I did not hear anything during the night. The room, bathroom, and community areas were clean and the room service very thorough every day. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast and included an array of bagels and danish pastry, packed butter, cream cheese and two kinds of jam, honey, two kinds of cereals, Yoghurt, some fruit, coffee, hazelnut coffee, decaf, an espresso machine, a selection of bagged teas, lemon-infused water, and orange juice. Among the best and most special things at this hotel, the breakfast room is used as a lounge during the rest of the day. The ambience / atmosphere here is lovely keeping the namesake Casablanca style (Moroccan tiling, pictures, bronze statues of wild animals) in a library style room with a cozy fireplace. Here, fruit, chips, sweet energy bars, coffee and tea, and a selection of cold drinks are provided for free all day producing an island of calm to have a break from the busy city outside. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and courteous but kept a relaxed and humorous charm all the while. Untypical for NYC, in no way were they detached or hovered above the things.

Booked an overnight at the Arlo while visiting with family about an hour out of town. My husband and I wanted to have a nice mini getaway while staying closer to downtown (last time we'd chosen to base ourselves in Brooklyn) and I was surprised at the fairly reasonable rate for Soho! We knew we'd arrive earlier than check in and had planned to just leave our bags and loop back to check in, so were delighted when the front desk let us know our room was actually ready! The room itself (a King standard) is tiny, but I knew that when I booked. Was just looking for a comfy clean spot to rest our heads after touring about the city and this does exactly that - the beds are soft and fluffy and the room has a modern, fresh design. Other highlights = the stylish lounge and super convenient 24 hour store/coffees downstairs - the croissants in the morning were perfection! It was winter so we couldn't avail ourselves of the rooftop but that also looked really awesome. Overall, great stay and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff!

Great design of the space, cozy room, friendly and helpful staff, and nice breakfast. The vibe is just so right and we never felt bored when staying inside the hotel/room. It was a shame we did not have too much time explore the nearby neighborhood, Brooklyn. But we could find many interesting shops and cafes on our walk to Greenpoint. The only thing I can imagine some people may feel not that good is transportation----it is accessible by subway though a walk of 15 minute is required. May not be that convenient for those with a suitcases. Well, we did not have the problem as we only had backpacks. Highly recommend the hotel.

I love walking, and usually walk a few miles every day.

I love walking, and usually walk a few miles every day. Manhatten IS walkable if, like me, you are pretty fit, plus it's almost impossible to get lost as it has a very logical grid system. If you're not very fit, then it has a good subway system which I did use from time to time. It also has a bike rental scheme that I saw lots of people using (but can't comment on ease of use as I didn't use it myself.) In my experince I found NYC friendlier than I was lead to believe it would be - I had some great chats with people! I cut my knuckle one day (caught it on something exiting the subway) and a street vendor make a great effort to help me with first aid - making sure I was ok. People being warm and friendly was the norm in my experience. My budget hotel was super friendly (The Carlton Arms - East 25th and 3rd Avenue in Gramercy). There is always something to do and something to see. Just a few of the things I did: I went to a comedy show one night at New York Comedy club (the Midtown venue) - which was great fun! I visited the Met museum (stunning - but make sure you allow at least a whole day) walked the High Line from Hudson Yards (really impressive and FREE), skipped going to the Empire State building and instead opted for The Edge - absolutely stunning views, a MUST. I went into St Patrick's Cathedral - a beautiful building to rival any English cathedral, incredible modern mural that is in keeping with the building. I went to Brooklyn (walked via Williamsburg Bridge) and got the very reasonably priced ferry back to Manhatten. On my last day I went to Queens and had the most amazing Tibetan food in Jackson Heights, and had Kashmiri tea in a little Indian cafe - New York is a truly international city. This was my fourth trip to the US but my first to NYC. I am eager to go again, it really is one of the greatest cities in the world.

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.

parking should be free its customers. It cost us an extra $100 which we were unaware of the daily price of parking until we got the charge. There was nothing showing how much it will cost us for parking - transparency. towels / wash clothes seem to be in short supply ever time we asked, so we had to keep going back / forth. Staff was great in their jobs / helpful. Location was great.
