We stayed there in the middle of November, 6 nights from November 17 to 23, 2024, in a deluxe room with an ocean view. As it turned out it was low season in the town of Chamchon and at the resort itself, there were almost no tourists. Hotel manager Mr. Hop said that in summer the resort is crowded. My special thanks to Mr. Hop for his attention and help! I was surprised by the low ratings of the resort on booking and other sites, because we had just an unforgettable vacation, the most real luxury from the beginning to the last minutes. I have read many reviews that the staff does not understand English well. Indeed not all staff speak perfect English, but nowadays google translate solves this problem in seconds. There is excellent wi-fi all over the hotel, I had no problems watching movies or having meetings online. We stayed with my daughter in an ocean view deluxe room with a private pool and it is truly an unforgettable experience. The ocean is beautiful and the lush very well maintained plants around the houses and along the beach are pleasing to the eye and create shade. For relaxation lovers, this is the best choice because the noise of the ocean makes you forget everything. I saw complaints in other reviews that there is no beach and there is only a concrete wall. That's not really the case. I think that what FLC Samson has done is brilliant, because on the border of the land and the beach there is a concrete fence with poured stones, which prevents the ocean from eroding the shore and the shore remains very green, there are palm trees and conifer plants, and you can go down to the beach by numerous stairs. A special praise goes to the staff of the hotel, which first welcomed in Pu Luong and gave me so many tips on the area, on what to do and how to move through the enchanting beauty of this exotic landscape. Each member of the staff has been kind, professional and dedicated giving special attention to me as well as to each of the guests. The room was clean and beautifully furnished, not to mention the view of the blue mountains standing in the horizon surrounding the greenest rice fields and rice terraces. The breakfast has a wide choice of food, varying from the continental one to the vietnamese specialties. I booked a one day trekking of more than 14 km visiting the enchanting Kho Muong village and its mysterious cave, here I had an abundant, tasty lunch at a homestay, then me and the guide walked all through the Natural Reserve to get to the Thai Village of Uoi Lan Where i experienced the local art of making brocade textiles. ialso had the chance to experience a moment of bliss with a great energizing and yet relaxing massage at the Retreat Spa Just before leaving to Hanoi. We felt so privileged to be there. My wife's birthday happened to coincide with our stay, and Puluong Home staff went out of the way to get her a full cake, put it in our room together with sparklers, party hats and all. The sunrise and sunset from our balcony and the pool is magical. The mountains go misty in the morning and the valley bursts into a scene of golden during dusk. You wont get these views anywhere else in Vietnam. Puluong Home has the BEST views of this valley. If you want to slow down and have a chill time, please come to Puluong Home. This is a popular region with plenty of Homestays and Resorts. But not many Westerners, Hire a motorcycle and Explore the region, there is a couple good half day rides that are just quiet backroads with little villages, cafes for food & coffee. Pu Luong is gorgeous and the people there are extremely friendly. Because it's newly open to tourism, it's quite peaceful, but it does mean there are fewer options (for example, no real affordable food choices). However, the quiet was just what we were looking for, and we both thought the area was one of the most beautiful places we'd ever seen.
