The hotel is located in the very center of the city, behind the walls of the old city. It is forbidden to enter this part of the city, but hotel guests can enter. Parking nearby, by the castle - we received a special card allowing us to park, we could keep it also for the day of check-out. Very friendly service. We received detailed information on where to eat well and what to visit. Delicious breakfast served in the garden, in a very nice and professional manner. Room decorated nicely, kettle, tea, water in the room. 5 minutes on foot to the lakeside walking promenade.

The front desk manager went over and above to find us a ground floor room as we were travelling with our dog. They even added a couple of bowls and a blanket for her! The next day he greeted her by her name, which was so lovely. The dog park at the back of the hotel is a brilliant idea. For humans, we had a large room, very comfortable beds, large marble-clad bathroom with a bath and all the amenities one would want, including a coffee maker and good Wifi. Breakfast was lavish. Definitely on our 'must stay here' list when next in Ioannina.

He even understood that we had made a mistake in the reservation and did not take advantage of it. Staff were very helpful and assisted in us finding a repair shop to mend a flat tyre on our hire car. parking was a short walk away and the hotel provided us with the necessary permit to allow for our overnight stay
