The Hotel building itself is amazing considering that it is a 200 year old building originally built as a hotel at the time. We loved the interior of the building too. Staff were friendly, special thanks to Adam at the reception. Breakfast was nice too. Overall great experience!

The friendliness of July , Linda etc. were heartwarming. The bonus was that Linda could reply in our mother-tongue ( Afrikaans) made us feel at home. The food was above expectation. The seafood Chowder and lambshank were 5 star . The breakfast was delightful. The location was historically and phenomenally relevant and picturesque.

The restaurant presented the best seafood we had during our time in Ireland. We highly recommend eating there.

The Smugglers Inn overlooks the sandy beach at Ballinskelligs Bay. Most rooms have sea or mountain views and the hotel has a bar, a gourmet restaurant, free WiFi in all areas and free parking.

The absolute best place we stayed in! Sea view to die for, beach/shops/pub a short walk away. The owner is welcoming and laid back, a great combination. We got great advice on things to do. Travelled with our old dog who was allowed to stay “at home” while we took the boat to the Skelligs.
