We stayed at the Frost and Fire hotel from the 28th December - 1st January. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were very friendly and approachable. Marianne even made us a packed lunch as we had to leave before breakfast for the airport. We really appreciated it. The views are breathtaking. We were very lucky that it snowed during the time we were there. The natural hot springs baths were an added special extra! We took a walk from the hotel up the mountain (the hotel will give you a route). We really recommend you do this! It took around 2 hours! We booked to go on a northern lights tour. You should definitely do this, but know it isn't guaranteed to see them. However, we saw the lights from the hotel on two evenings, so there is definitely a chance you can for that! The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We could see the sunrise every morning! Wow! The food needs to be mentioned. It was delicious and worth every penny. We had breakfast and an evening meal twice there. The Icelandic buffet on New Year’s Eve was amazing! Also the fireworks were out of this world! 🎆 We walked up the mountain path to see them and would definitely recommend you do that!

Everthing was more then amazing. The owners where very friendly. There was a hottub. 2 friendly dogs to great us. And the best of all horses. We had the room with the shared kitchen and bathroom. We had it for our selfs but even if you had to share it it was big enough and it would be just with one other person or two so. Will be staying here again gor sure if we come back in 2/3 years.

The accommodation is very well located, next to all points of interest on your trip To Iceland - before or after exploring Golden circle and the perfect stop to continue your road trip from/to the South. The cabin we booked was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom as well, and equipped with a private kitchen as well. We recommend it 100% and will definitely book there again if we come back to Iceland

Location ,breakfast,reception,place value everything was more than perfect also the staff were more than friendly and co-operative. Furthermore, they helped us with our plan which we did for the activities and the place we want to see by booking and advising. The hotel is in the countryside but you will find a markts and resturats along with gas stations very nearby.

This hotel is situated on Mount Hengill, 18 km from UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park. Its restaurant offers Nordic specialities and a bar with panoramic scenic views.

The place was in a remote location, easy to get to from the main road. It was perfect because we had no light pollution around us and we saw the northern lights very easily. No need to drive to another location. The room was very clean and tidy, we enjoyed everything about it. I would definitely stay here again!
