Great experience of staying here. It was calm and relaxing to have open air bath in the middle of forest. We could see tranquil atmosphere of Amagase onsen village with wall-like mountain alongside the river. Kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We could see true Japanese hospitality here. The room was clean and spacious with a great view of the river. The hotel owner had good English and very friend. He chatted to us about working for a couple of years in Ireland (our home country) a number of years ago and offered to drive us to the Attack on Titan museum!

Ukiha is a happy place to stay. The owner and staff were generous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was an elegance in every aspect. A very traditional Japanese experience for us. The food in our own dining area was excellent.
