The most magical stay we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived at the villa, we were blown away. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the volcano and watching the sunrise together was something straight out of a dream. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy and intimate — perfect for our romantic getaway. The service? Next level. Every detail was taken care of with so much love and attention. The team was warm, welcoming, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. You can feel the heart in this place — it’s not just a villa, it’s an experience. If you’re thinking twice — don’t. This is the place. The energy, the people, the view, the vibe — everything was perfect. We’ll be talking about this trip for the rest of our lives. Can’t wait to come back. Absolutely legendary.

We stayed at this place for two nights in June, and honestly, I hesitated for a long time before booking it, because I had read so many negative reviews. Now I’d like to share my own experience and respond to some of those concerns. 1. Location: Some people said the road to the hotel was terrible and even scary. Here’s what I can say: we had a private driver, not a regular taxi, and the road was asphalted almost the entire way. Even in the rain, it was totally fine. Yes, the last 5 minutes have some steep turns, but nothing extreme — any local driver will manage it easily. And here’s something no one mentioned (but absolutely should have): the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the main road, where you’ll find supermarkets, cafes, or can just go for a walk. They will drop you off and pick you up whenever it’s convenient for you. That’s an amazing service, and I was really surprised no one had written about it. 2. Insects: Yes, there are insects. But you’re literally in the mountains, surrounded by greenery — what do you expect? That said, small flies (especially during the day) can be annoying, so I highly recommend bringing an insect repellent spray — it’s a must. Also, bring something against mosquitoes. Just keep the windows and curtains closed after sunset, and you’ll be fine. 3. Kitchen: The kitchen was great — you really have everything you need to cook, and we actually did. The hotel provides basic ingredients like oil, jam, bread, eggs, instant noodles, a few sauces, etc. Plus, the store is only 5 minutes away by car, so you can get anything else you need. 4. Shower and Bath: It’s true — you won’t be able to take long, luxurious showers or fill up the bathtub quickly. But there’s enough hot water for a normal shower, and to be honest, I never really felt like using the bathtub anyway. In most places in Indonesia, bathtubs take a while to fill — it’s not unusual. 5.

We absolutely loved our time at the beautifully designed hill house surrounded by nature with stunning views of Mount Batur. Putu made us feel right at home and went out of his way to take care of us. We had so much fun, made wonderful memories, and took lots of photos! We'll definitely be back if we get the chance. Beautiful two-story units with all the facilities and more! Tons of space for your stuff and a couch to relax. Nice full kitchen and a huge balcony to watch the sunrise! The service was fantastic too!

Staying at this villa was a truly wonderful and relaxing experience. This place is perfect for a family holiday or a getaway with your partner. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious and very affordable. We also really enjoyed the unique and fun experience of getting around using the buggies. The warm pool water was perfect for a morning swim, especially with the fresh, cool air. We highly recommend this place!

The property is beautiful and clean with good wifi and a hot shower. It’s the closest property to Mount Batur and only 10 minutes walking to the meeting point. 100% recommend we LOVED staying here! Nyoman the owner was really nice and welcoming and insisted on making us a really nice breakfast. He has also been a tour guide for 10 years and knows the volcano so book your tours with him!

The photos that advertise these parts of the house are really very professionally taken. So you shouldn't set your expectations TOO high. It corresponds absolutely to the facts, not that I hiker is misunderstood. 😉 Only a 9 because a) The apartment was not kept to the high standard, for example there is no option to hang up your clothes b) There is also an increased need for cleaning, especially in the kitchen area c) In my opinion you can't really cook there anyway, there are a lot of things missing d) When it is windy it drafts in the apartment, which I personally (!) found unpleasant. Personally, I also lacked a refrigerator, but I was allowed to used that one from the staff. Thanks for that. 🙂 As I understand, the apartment is powered by spring water, which is of course pretty cool. The breakfast that was delivered was very tasty. And the staff very friendly and helpful.
