The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning! In the night you can also see many bright stars. Comfortable and large bed, enough space for the suitcases and a very decent bathroom. The owners are very friendly, let us choose which breakfast we wanted, arranged tuk tuks and a laundry service for us. We felt very comfortable and welcomed.

Perfect location, great views, near railways, so you can see the trains passing by. In 7 minutes you can walk to Ella. The other way on the railway will bring you to the waterfall en Ella Rock. When you just passed the trainbridge, go down, and ask the women for guiding you to a beautiful viewpoint. On your own its difficult to find. Breakfast is good. The caretaker Lashman is gentle and tells a lot of things to visit/to do. From were you will have breakfast, the view uphill is lovely, looks like a jungle. We parked our tuktuk just across the railway.

This was the most amazing little cottage in Ella. It is located 20 min walk or 10 min tuktuk out of town with the most amazing and peaceful view. The owner is an amazing host and can organise tuktuks at reasonable rates, provide hiking directions and all kinds of support on organising activities while you are in Ella. The cottage is also super close to Ella rock if you like hiking. Breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner one night and the food was 10/10!

Without a doubt, this is the best and is totally recommended. The family that runs the room is wonderful. They are super nice and always wait for you with a smile, or a tea in the afternoon. The breakfast is very rich and filling. It is a large room with a bathroom and two beds. Additionally (the best thing about the house) there is a balcony with table and chairs and views of the mountains. I recommend it!!

We had very good time at the wooden heart and extended our stay 😀. Everybody was super friendly and the whole family tried their best to make us feel happy and at home. The family helped us to arrange the journey to Ella. My son was ill at the beginning of our stay and they really looked after us. The breakfast on the the private balcony was very delicious! It is a short 10 minutes walk into Ella city along the railway tracks and it is a good place to start your walk to Ella rock or other tours. If we came back to Ella, we would definitely stay at Wood heart again!!!

    The beds were comfortable, the hosts were sweet and helpful, the bathroom and shower were clean, there was a kettle to boil water and a fire to make food as well as a fridge, there was a common area in the kitchen and one by the dorms, really close to the train tracks (so easy to walk around, both into the city and out along the tracks) and easy to find when we first got here.
