Very pleasant, responsive and helpful host, Vinesh and the family is very kind and helpful, gave us a lot of advice for planning of our holidays and arranges for us everything we asked for. Started our Mauritius holiday in the west,Tamarin/Black River, and have made a very good decision about our first “home” during the trip. It truely felt like home as we got part of Diane’s & Stephan’s (the hosts) family for our day’s staying there. Their house/garden/pool is lovely and we could use all facilities together with them, like the fantastic kitchen, living room, washing machine and so on. The Artist House is lying very close to several nice restaurants, very close to a huge supermarket London Way and the local beach is in 5 minute walking distance. A rented car will allow to visit the local attractions more easy, but the bus station is so near and using bus always worked fine. Stephan is a Chef and we cooked a tuna that we brought from fishing absolutely brilliant. We can fully recommend this place.

At the apartment complex, units include bed linen and towels. the property was all as described . clean and well maintained and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome . she even arranged food for the day we arrived at the property , she provided all the beach necessities as well. she also gave us a lot of tips about places to visit , where to eat , etc . Even after checking out , she texted to check if we arrived safely back home . in all my stays , of all the people i have met around the world, she was by far the nicest and most welcoming person i have ever met! Thank you Joanna for everything , you made us feel like home, so far away from home!

The owner Antish helped us a lot by finding us a rental car with very good conditions. The company is called Turquoise Samtours and I recommend it. She offers a lot of excursions and has an office near the apartment, just opposite the Jumbo supermarket. Also, Antish allowed us to leave the apartment 2 hours later without extra charge. Last but not least I want to thank Kentish and Varuna for their kindness and responsiveness. They take care of the apartment and welcome and see off the guests. Special thanks again to Kentish for the curry leaves he gave me even though someone had picked them for him. He didn't forget to bring me more on the way out. Kentish will forever remain in my heart.

Probably the most fantastic accommodation we have ever had in our 5 years travelling. In order: breathtaking view on the benitiers island, rooftop with barbecue with a 360 view on Le Morne and the wild forest, star gazing, bats and birds everywhere, fruits offered, private balcony with everything from coffee to all amenities and laundry. Top care by the cleaning lady, felt like a 5 star resort everyday. Close to the best beach on the island for snorkeling. We also had a private boat tour with an amazing guide by Bianca, learnt so much from the island as he has years of experience living here. Keep it up!

The apartment was clean, fully equipped (thanks for the coffee machine), the location was excellent for excursions. We would love to return to this place again. Albion is a charming village that offers a peaceful setting, natural beauty and an authentic atmosphere.
