Kitchen was fully stocked (pots, bowls, plates, glasses, mugs, silverware, other utensils, and a full range of appliances and cleaning supplies). Heater worked well. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Bathroom was great. And the views of the ocean from both the living room and the main bedroom were nothing short of stupendous.

The tiled bathrooms have walk-in showers.These apartments are located off-site on the Esplanade and have views across the beach to the ocean. The facility is amazing, and feels like home away from home. To top it up, the host provides the best service, and every single tiny gesture is well thought of. Simply the best accommodation we have stayed in, in New Zealand.

Joan and John have created a lovely space in a beautiful spot right by the sea. Kaka point is stunning. The apartment is spacious, really well equipped and super comfortable with a gorgeous outlook. They are the consummate hosts and meeting them made our stay even more enjoyable.

Lovely view overlooking the mountains and bay. The accommodation was spotless clean, kept in great condition. Furnishing was new, kitchen fully equipped. Good WiFi. Good selection of board games. Nice modern bathroom, and linen on bed was comfortable.
