The lodge is absolutely beautiful - 10/10. We stayed at the Hilton and Sofitel while on the island but this lodge scored the highest for us on great value and friendly stay. Great value for very reasonable cost. The bungalow is up to date, spotless, well-screened with windows on three sides, with good, quiet A/C, a comfortable bed and lounger, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely lanai with dining table and chairs overlooking the garden. Harold is an exemplary host! We really enjoyed talking with him and hanging out with him for a morning on his boat. He knows Moorea as well as anyone, and can take you to all the good places. Also, the dog Reef took great care of us too. Just awesome. Harold set us up with bikes for our visit, which we used to get to the ATM and public beach a bit less than a mile away. The little store just a quick walk up the small road is a gem, where you can get pretty much everything you might need. Restaurants on Moorea are expensive so we appreciated being able to prepare meals chez nous.

Also, it was super clean, it had everything you need to feel like home but in a fabulous garden. We would love to come back here.

If you would rather not eat out, you can make use of the kitchen facilities. Sarah was a lovely and very helpful host. We had a great time swimming in the pool, enjoying the views and eating the amazing breakfasts (with homemade jam!) on the balcony - it was a wonderful introduction to island life!
