What a very special place this is, we were enchanted. Had a fabulous spa treatment, watching the monkeys with their babies while having a head massage. Truly the most relaxing place I’ve stayed in. I had room 6, a standard room which was perfect, a dressing room to hide my suitcase and stuff! We had sundowners in the tree house. And the waterfall was in full flow. Lovely food, lovely staff. Yes, it’s expensive, but so worth it.

I stayed at Back to Roots for five nights- the stay was awesome and so peaceful. The place was stunning- surrounded by beautiful gardens. All staff were Kindness and helpful, always happy to assist with any requests or questions I had. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and had a beautiful view. homely fresh food which was so delicious. What did we like about Parudeesa...literally everything. Our hosts Jack and his mother were extremely warm and went way beyond our expectations with their hospitality and care. The house itself was a beautiful amalgamation of traditional Kerala architecture with modern amenities and the room was spacious with comfortable bedding...freshest linen...superfast wifi and cable tv and the cherry on top being the clean, modern washroom. The courtyard and garden alongwith the rooftop yoga corner and tea and coffee station were beautifully designed and added just the amount of rustic charm; the place was already naturally endowed with; to take it to the next level. There's ample parking space and the overall ambience is relaxing and peaceful. The main takeaway according to us was however the hospitality and love of the hosts. This place is truly a paradise. It's very peaceful and charming, offering a perfect escape from the busy and noisy city life, which is exactly why we chose to stay here, even though we didn't know much about Ayurveda. Right from the start, the friendly smiles and kindness of the staff made us feel right at home. The food was incredible and sooo delicious too; it was all vegetarian, very tasty, and every day there were many dishes to choose from. One of our favorite moments was the traditional lunch served on banana leaves. I appreciated the personalized care from my Ayurvedic doctor, who always greeted me by my name when she met and had a small chat. ☺️ She also explained treatments with patience, never rushing or pushing me into something. The nature around the retreat is very beautiful, and there are lots of small trips you can take nearby. You'll also meet many interesting people here, who are taking treatments, and you can chat with them during meals. Something really special was our yoga teacher singing during shavasana. She was also very helpful when we wanted to rent a scooter. Everyone here is like an angel and they truly care about you—your health, your mind, and your body. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. ✨ I wish you all the best. And hope to see you all again. ☺️
