I had a truly memorable experience staying at Pranu Guest House in Nilaveli, hosted by Rajan and his wonderful wife. Rajan is one of the most humble and kind-hearted people I’ve met. He takes the time to sit with you, help plan your day or holiday, and is always quick to assist — whether it’s calling a cab, connecting you to a currency exchange person, or even offering a small medical first aid kit, which came in handy when I needed help for a minor cut. He’s not only a great host but also someone who genuinely cares about the environment — he spends his free time contributing to ocean cleanup efforts, which is truly inspiring. His wife is equally lovely and makes delicious, healthy breakfasts that are far better than anything you’ll find in a restaurant — homemade with love, and a perfect way to start the day. Stayed 2 nights at this lovely boutique resort, in a large, spacious and clean room with ocean view.. Had dinner first night and breakfast next 2 mornings and there were enough selection on the dinner menu and food was very good. Excellent breakfast both days. Great service and super friendly staff. The property was clean and well kept. Swimming pool was good size, clean and water was nice and warm. Overall loved everything about this resort and would definitely come back!

This hotel is nestled on Nilavali Beach, a 10-minute boat ride from Pigeon Island. There is no available WiFi, a large outdoor pool and spacious rooms with views of the ocean.

I love coming here, this is my 3rd visit. I love the open space of the resort, the quite nature, the palm trees, the relaxed poolside, the beach views, the calm ocean is great for swimming. Everything about this resort is amazing for adults, this is my happy place to unwind and re-fill my cup. The staff are caring and kind, the food and cocktails at the beachside restaurant is delicious, we enjoyed beautiful soulful music by the very talented musician who plays multiple instruments. The buffet breakfast is to die for, so many delicious options and food choices. The rooms are simple, large and clean, with comfy beds and amazing views out to the pool / ocean. You can do as little or as much as you like, easy to ride into town and see the local sights or go snorkelling, diving or just relax.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. Lovely and helpful staff, quiet place (when low season) and comfortable rooms. Food is also great!!! I definitely recommend it :) The beach just a walking distance.

Beautiful beach - unspoiled, uncrowded, with comfortable chairs and a great beach bar. The guys will grill you up the fish off your choice with curry for $7 or so. The water is warm and calm, and there’s really nobody around except other hotel guests. The pool is also spectacular, in an immaculate jungle setting. The physical property is just gorgeous and very peaceful. The food is good! I don’t know what people are complaining about. There’s an extensive menu and I enjoyed everything I had.
