Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.

Our stay at The Divine Villa Thalpe was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and care — Christophe, the owner, has truly created something special here. His attention to detail and passion for hospitality shine through in every corner of the villa. The house itself is absolutely stunning — a beautiful blend of modern luxury and serene tropical charm. The interior design is beautiful. Every room was meticulously designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the view of the lush gardens and pool felt like a dream. The staff were beyond amazing — thoughtful, professional, and always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was flawless. From the delicious meal (we took the breakfast but now wish we’d had more meals there) to the little touches throughout the day, everything was handled with grace and genuine care. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape in Sri Lanka, The Divine Villa Thalpe is just perfect. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Christophe and team for an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful boutique hotel on a hill. Amazing view from the pool. Spacious rooms / friendlu staff that organised a little suprise for my friends birthday. To go breakfast was given as we checked out early in the morning out. A very nice stay!

Absolutely gorgeous. Fair price for an amazing view and very comfortable stay. Room was very spacious and clean. We stayed at Mora room ;) Bathroom was excellent, water pressure magnificent. Pool and outdoors also very enjoyable. Breakfast very delicious. The whole service was great, staff very nice and helpful. The welcome drink was super good we order it again and again: cinnamon ice tea ;) 10 mins tuktuk ride to the downtown which is 500LKR max. There is always a driver outside the door ready to take you. I do recommend as well to take a tuktuk to turtle beach. Seems close but walking thru the beach is not really possible.

The pool and the swing were a big hit with the kids. Food was delicious. The staff were the best , polite and friendly. Will happily return to the same property. We stayed 3 nights, yet kids were t happy to leave. Not beachfront but easy drive to some of the loveliest beaches

What a gem of a place to stay. From the moment we arrived Kumudu and team couldn’t do enough for us. A taxi transfer from Colombo airport to Galle was easily pre arranged and meeting the driver was slick. We stayed in a superior deluxe room with jungle view for 4 nights. Facilities great and outdoor shower lovely. There was the added personal touch of having breakfast every morning served on your own terrace. Lush planting made for secluded spaces and good to have a pool too. Although the location is slightly out of the fort it’s easily accessible using a tuk-tuk and it’s only about 40-50 minutes walk if you’re feeling energetic. Special mention needs to go to Eran, the Olive’s on site tuk-tuk driver. It was so easy and reassuring to be able to message and he’d be there to pick up/drop off within minutes. It’s also possible for him to take you further afield. We did a round trip to Koggala lake, a turtle sanctuary, tea plantation and saw stilt fishermen. An absolutely wonderful introduction to Sri Lankan hospitality and we can’t wait to return.
