The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is great - about 10 minutes walk to the train station. There are lots of extra little details that make Dormy Inn special and great value for money. The onsen is excellent, high standard, and such a treat. There were little extra too, like free icecreams, which we were impressed by. And the laundry facilities were great, very clean, easy to use and very reasonably priced - you only pay for the drier.

Stayed 2 days at the hotel and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. They even had a English speaking staff to assist foreign tourists. I really felt "omotenashi" during my stay here. The facilities were great too and I'm so happy that they had free washing machine. You just needed to pay another 100 yen to dry your clothes for 20 mins. It was great that you could enjoy the onsen, wait for your laundry to finish, then enjoy the free ice-cream or probiotic drink after the onsen. Had breakfast during the New Year period and the food was great. There was a change in the menu on day 2, so I was impressed.

The rooms were spacious for myself and my adult son and young daughter. I loved that they provided pajamas - the staff were super friendly (although one of the staff members seemed to be irritated with me when I was trying to speak to him, but he later did apologize - the language barrier was perhaps frustrating for me to relay to him my proper concern and this must have frustrated him as he took my questioning as impatience on my part - he told me to "Just Wait!" in a very annoyed tone with me - I'm okay though as I realize I am not used to their ways and perhaps it is considered very rude to try to speak up when I think they are not hearing me properly. In any case, overall, the other staff members were perfect and extremely helpful to me. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel offers a sauna and a 24-hour front desk. The first thing I realised when I entered the hotel was the smell, it was so nice and calming. The room was amazing. It was spacious, had a huge bed and even a window seating area. The view was decent from higher floor too. On the top floor, there was even a spa area, which was free for all guests! It has a sauna, an indoor and an outdoor bath. There were also vending machines and laundry machines on that floor. Of course, the room also had a toilet and bath. Bus and tram stops are just a few minutes away. The price was very affordable too, especially compared to other big cities.
