We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

Bike hire and car hire are available at this guest house and the area is popular for cycling. Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. La Perla Bentota provided an excellent stay. The surroundings are beautiful, and the pool is perfect for relaxing. The location is also very close to the beach, which is a great plus. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff, especially Nelson and the entire team, were friendly and incredibly helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend La Perla Bentota.

Situated in Bentota, 2 km from Bentota Beach, Amber House Lanka features views of the sea. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as an indoor pool and a hot tub. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Location was perfect for all BENTOTA & surrounding activities. The beach was just across the river for which the owner provided a free boat service. The property was very well maintained, clean & comfortable. The deck facing the river was the icing on the cake. Owner couple were so friendly & accomodating. The breakfast was too good & fresh. Amber house also has a great menu for meals. The swimming pool was cool & clean.

Really great service - lovely man at the pool would have our sun loungers ready for us, breakfasts great (huge portions!), nice touches like an evening turn down service.

My husband and I enjoyed the serenity of the place as well as the beautiful scenery. The staff were very friendly especially our buttler, Roshan, who was extremely polite, helpful and friendly. He definitely made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely come back again.
