They were very hospitable - Abdlhak and Ismail were kind, responsive and provided detailed answers to our many questions. They aided us in getting a tour guide for a private tour around FES. We ordered food to eat out on the terrace in the evening, which was lovely. They indulged us by providing dinner way past their kitchen being open which we were very grateful for. The room was large and enough for three of us that were staying here and last but not least the breakfast provided by Zineb was delicious and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again. Apart from their hospitality this was a beautiful establishment. Thank you!

Guests also have access to the riad’s hammam, where beauty treatments and massages are available. We had a lovely stay at Dar Bensouda, a beautifully refurbished traditional riad that perfectly blends authenticity with comfort. The property is an old house thoughtfully transformed into charming accommodation, preserving its architectural heritage while offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the medina. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was decent—simple but satisfying. The small pool in the courtyard added a refreshing touch, especially after exploring the busy streets of Fes. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace: quite spacious, with stunning views and a serene ambiance that made it ideal for unwinding. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend Dar Bensouda to travelers looking for an authentic Moroccan stay with warm hospitality.

The terrace is a dream I totally recommend it... I also recommend to hire the tour of the desert with them. The private tour is the best service and worth every penny. You can organize guided tours in the city of Fes with guides of great energy and knowledge. Believe it is impossible without a guide. I can’t put it in words how amazing all the staff memebers are, they were always so helpful anytime we needed anything, breakfast was great and we truly liked almost everything. Riads are not hotels but special moroccan housing which i highly recommend for everyone travelong to get the full moroccan experience.It’s very clean, and the location is great.

What stood out the most was the breakfast – an extensive, delicious, and beautifully presented spread that I looked forward to more than any meal during my trip. From freshly baked bread and pastries to traditional Moroccan delights, it was a breakfast I will remember for a long time. The rooftop is another highlight: a cozy and stylish seating area with a Jacuzzi and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the medina. To top it off, I discovered that the owner's brother runs a nearby restaurant called Fondouk Bazaar, just a 5-minute walk from the Riad. At first, I didn’t realize it was part of the same family, but once I dined there, everything made sense – the quality, cleanliness, and service mirrored what I experienced at the Riad. The food was absolutely incredible, with an open kitchen and immaculate atmosphere. Hands down, one of the best meals I had in Morocco. Riad Dar Timrad is a rare find – a place where luxury, warmth, and authenticity meet. The owner truly goes above and beyond to ensure every guest is taken care of, and it shows in every detail. If you’re coming to Fes, I can’t wait to return :)

When we arrived at the riad we felt like in a palace. The building is beautiful in the best morrocan tradition, the rooms are big and beautiful and tastefully decorated.
