We love this place and can’t wait to visit next year on our anniversary.

The beach is beautiful (when high tide). Had an amazing massage at the spa. Staff was professional and friendly. There is a small mall opening next to the hotel so there is a lot of options to eat and to buy souvenirs etc. I wish I had the time to do horseback riding.

The villa is gorgeous and spacious. Not too far from the airport and Alona Beach. You can see Alona Beach from the restaurant. The horse riding was pretty great and the horses are very well taken care of. I’ve traveled to so many places and stayed at so many 4-5stars hotels/ resorts, the staffs here is by far the best I’ve seen. Very friendly and attentive. Front desk is very responsive with requests. The staffs even surprise me with birthday cake. I really enjoy all the conversations I had with all the staffs at Donatela. Overall I had a great stay at the resort and felt well rested. Would 10/10 recommend and come back here.

Their team’s outstanding care is what makes Thistle Inn a jewel We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful stay at Thistle Inn. Locally owned restaurant, boutique-style, with a welcome balance of high end resort and Filipino charm. The property has a pool with a well manicured garden. They prepare freshly made food onsite and make fresh fruit beverages. The menu has limited but well-rounded with both Filipino and western cuisine that are presented beautifully and taste delicious. Our room accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Everyone in our multi-generational party remarked on the high quality of the beds.
