The King bed room was comfortable with a couch and desk. The bed was comfortable. We used the refrigerator and microwave to heat up meals we had brought. The breakfast was excellent, and the ambience of the lobby and dining room is very grand. We chose this hotel because we had stayed here before and it is close to the Polka Dot Agate Mine where we dug large thunder eggs. It is also a short jaunt to Smith Rock State Park.

We were in the classic cottage, too, not one of the fancier ones. And it was FABULOUS. Hot tub with opening into the living room, great TV and sofa for lounge on and amazing bed. Access to the gym, which was amazing, right next to the lodge. It was one of my best hotel / resort experiences in my life. And I have been all over, in fancy ski resorts in Italy and Austria and this place (I know it’s not a ski resort but we were there in winter) was the best ever.
