Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property. This characterful property was full of quirks and personality. We really loved having access to common spaces (where we played some boardgames) and the owners kindly let some of our party stay late while the rest of us went horseback riding. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy for breakfast, and my family members said the full Irish was amazing.

Just 3 minutes' walk from the beach in Buncrana, The Harbour Inn sits on a hillside overlooking the sandy beaches of Lough Swilly. The Harbour offers spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms, breakfasts freshly cooked on request, and free parking. The room was fantastic. Having the restaurant close was a bonus.

4 miles from Shannon Airport, Bunratty Manor is a small family-run hotel, just a 5-minute walk from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The Manor Restaurant serves local game and seafood.

En suite, spacious rooms offer a home-from-home style atmosphere and have orthopaedic beds. There are tea/coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Free parking is also available. The staff were very helpful when checking in. We were upgraded to a ground floor spacious room. The hotel offers an a la carte breakfast menu.

Connemara's longest established hotel, Foyles has been owned and managed by the Foyle family for nearly a century. The impressive building, which has played host to many famous personalities over the years, has recently been redesigned to the highest modern standards, yet retains much of its old charm and atmosphere. Great location, lovely cosy bar and restaurant and well appointed bedrooms. Baths in the bedrooms were a welcome addition and there were literally loads of plug sockets for phone charging, hair drying etc. The staff were exceptional and made my friend and I (both female) extremely welcome.

On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland.

The location of Leenane Hotel makes it an excellent base for exploring Connemara. The facilities include a bar, a spacious restaurant and a private resident’s lounge. A wonderful place to stay that is very comfortable and clean serving delicious food in a remarkable location.

Quiet and peaceful at night while only a few minutes walk to the centre. The accommodation itself is beautiful. Lovely gardens, reading rooms. The restaurant was incredible. We had dinner and breakfast. Everything was well thought out and high quality. Lot of character in a great setting. Frederika is a great host. We will certainly be back.

Clean and comfortable room with sea view, very good breakfast and a comfortable lounge area. A great shower!

An Capall Dubh B&B Dingle, a property with a garden, is situated in Dingle, 48 km from Siamsa Tire Theatre, 48 km from Kerry County Museum, as well as 5.8 km from Dingle Golf Centre. The 3-star bed and breakfast has mountain views and is 700 metres from Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium. The bed and breakfast also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This property was amazing. It is inside a locked gated area with free parking, an on site cafe, picnic tables all in the center of town. Across the street is st Mary’s church. We got a free upgrade and had a 2 story fantastic apt with laundry facilities. Hot Breakfast was the best in Ireland, made to order and one of the staff gave a talk about history, culture, magic of Dingle plus answered all questions. Self Check in was easy. Our favorite place in Ireland.
