On the plus side, the beach wasn't crowded and didn't have anyone hassling you to buy food etc. There were lots of good restaurants on the beach, and the village had a few shops and a 24-hour convenience store. Unfortunately, the beach wasn't particularly clean, and it seamed that nobody actually cleaned it anyway. Also, there were a few too many stray dogs in the mornings. Nevertheless, I love the place as it's very natural and relaxing, and you can easily walk from the airport with hand luggage if you're only staying a few days.David - 2.0Scored 2.0

Nai Yang is very poplar as it is close to the airport. It has a very local laid back vibe which people enjoy. Beach, food, massage, markets, good range of hotels options. One of the best beaches in Phuket.

Nai Yang beach is a gorgeous stretch of soft sand and blue sea, relatively quiet in contrast to the rest of Phuket and so close to the airport without the planes being a bother. There are some beachside restaurants with delicious food and great service and a few shops and stalls in the streets behind. I had a family room with a sofa and a lovely view out onto the mountains, fields and adjacent temple, and stayed for almost six weeks. The staff are really lovely and go out of their way to help you. The hostel is also in an ideal location, just about 300m from the beach. There is a local market nearby a few times a week, and the bus to Phuket goes from the main road (5 minutes away). The hostel is super clean, which is a big plus.
