Room was small. Disappointed that it was not cleaned daily disappointed we were kicked out of the hotel because apparently the whole thing closed on Monday. Went there to relax and get away and that was cut short. We had no idea and waited for hours as my kids were at the park, their phones were in a locker I could not get A hold of them to let them know as I said their phones were locked in lockers. I went to relax they went to play so that was very disappointing Very expensive for not a lot. Had to get a room change as my lake view was blocked by a tree in the way. Pull out chouch was extremely uncomfortable, could literally hear the springs popping… We got kicked out of a pool because some sort of electricity went down (without access to the phone, apparently the pool had to close ) which apparently happens often. Many of the rides in the park were closed in my girls could not access. Obviously the view is beautiful, but an overall disappointing experience.

Great location.
Great location. Many stores and places to eat in just a couple minutes walk. Only a few minutes down the road to the Cedar Point island road. Felt comfortable walking in the area and getting around by car is very easy and not congested as I had expected it to be.

I didn’t like anything about that place.
I didn’t like anything about that place. That’s why I left after 10 minutes of arrival. The place look very insecure people with bad ass suspect smoking marijuana were roam in the front of the facilities. The parking lot in the back had a huge sign said no parking next to a dumpster. The following day I receive an email from the property saying disregard the sign I was in there and I wasn’t gonna disregard the sign. I didn’t feel comfortable parking my car on the street with this suspicious looking people were standing and drinking and smoking.

Every summer we travel to Sandusky Ohio to visit Cedar Point. Always an awesome experience and traveling in Ohio is comforting due to the improved infrastructure and clean city. We visited Golden Corral on our off day and in comparison to the other locations we vistied, this location was excellent. Good service and hot food. The Walmart as well, similar experience very tidy and clean. Overall travelling in Sandusky you feel safe and will have a great experience.

We were there for a baseball tournament at Sports Force.
We were there for a baseball tournament at Sports Force. We stayed at Sawmill Creek and it was PERFECT, just 5 minutes down the road. Honestly, Sandusky was busy during the holiday weekend and it was nice to be able to go right down the road and avoid the traffic!

Cedar point is really it. Nickle Plate Beach was awesome.
Cedar point is really it. Nickle Plate Beach was awesome. Sandy at Shore Line Inn was amazing. And Sherry at Starbucks rocked. We are at steak and lube and the food was just ok. But I went to pay with cash and they said they were cashless bc I needed change. I still left a 50% tip because I’ve been in that industry for over 20 years. So I’ve NEVER heard of CASHLESS!! But my friend paid cash and didn’t need change and it was just fine.
I loved almost everything about my stay! The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly, helpful, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the area and the park. We will probably come visit Sandusky. Yes, this hotel can accommodate us. This place gave us the best customer service we’ve had in a very, very long time. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends with plans to visit the area.
The hotel it self was nice but they ripped me off for 500$.I paid 500$ on pre paid card rest on credit card checked balance found a 500$ charge on card.Taled to manager she said could not find pre paid card payment, but i had 2 charges on cardand i recall sigining 2times 1 for prepaid second for balance.I suggest be very carefull of this staff. My creit card copany is looking it to this.
We really love the location. I mean it was basically right in the park. We absolutely loved the fact that they would allow us to take the electric scooters into the facilities and up to the room. The location right on the beach made for easy access as well as amazing access to the park. They also had really cool bike taxis that would cruise you up and down the boardwalk. Did
The Hotel itself is a bit dated but in a good condition. the staff was very nice!
Our room was an inside room, which was a benefit for us. The room was clean. Breakfast was simple but okay, we loved the pancake maker. For those who are looking for a trip to cedar point and staying nice this a good choice. Good for families! Would we stay again? Yes.
Didn’t have the breakfast, too early for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds are clean and comfortable. Good privacy darkening drapes.loved having frig & microwave. Shower big, good water pressure & plenty of hot water.
I chose hotel bc Applebees next door! Also close to cedar point!
I always stay at this hotel when I visit Cleveland. The location is very convenient to get to the city (only about an hour's drive) and it's minutes away from Cedar Point, too. The staff is always very pleasant and the rooms are clean. I look forward to staying here next year when I visit!
the resort was really nice. They are close by Cedar Point. The restaurant that’s adjacent to the hotel is a nice bonus… the only takeaway was the breakfast. it was cold, lacked protein options and the pancakes were awful 😞 (I don’t think, I ever had a nasty pancake until then.
Cheap room, easy to find, not far (about 25 minutes) from Miller Ferry to PIB. Probably close to Cedar Point as well if you are in town for that. We checked out out a day early to no fault of the hotel, we decided to spend the night in PIB. 8/10 would stay again.
Room was comfortable. I was happy that the air conditioner was not on full blast when we arrived. We were able to check in a little early. Close enough to Put in Bay. Sandusky Ohio was a friendly town - not too small for a short get away from Michigan.
I’ve stayed in a few different hotels this summer (including another well-known chain right by Cedar Point) and this was the best one of all of them: The room was very clean and I liked the layout and breakfast.
We will definitely be back. The owners are very welcoming and helpful with directions. It's not fast paced like other hotels. they care about your stay and helping you out .. very very close to Cedar point.
We visited Sandusky at the last minute to attend the Bike Week festivities. The hotel was close to everything and everyone was extremely helpful and kind. The room was large and comfortable.
