Attractively situated in the centre of Nagoya, GOLD STAY Nagoya Sakae ゴールドステイ名古屋栄 features free WiFi throughout the property and free bikes. The facilities and our room were very clean. There was a good selection of free amenities as well. We could not hear any noises from the outside which was one of our worries. The staff was extremely nice and attentive; they even gave us four umbrellas on the day we were checking out because of heavy rain. We told them we could not return them and they insisted on giving them to us.

We loved the secret doors and the private access to the viewing platform of the tower. The welcome tea and sweets were the best ones we had on the trip. Staff were absolutely incredible. We had checked out, we were waiting at the elevator and it started to rain. A staff came running with an umbrella for us.

I like the atmosphere of the hotel. It is a bit old but it has charm and character. If you are big fan of antique look and feel of hotel, you will love this place. Plus, the location is actually pretty good, really close to Okazaki park and Okazaki castle. In addition to it, the hotel is close to 2 local train; Aichi loop line and Meitetsu line.

Loved our comfy family room with tatami area and futons. The sento (public bath) was wonderful: really nice natural rock style bath and lovely washing areas. The sento is well used by guests including kids so definitely family friendly. This hotel has so many extras: free late night ramen service (21:30-23:00), free ice cream after bath, free manga library in the lounge. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the chef at breakfast was especially nice. What a great stay.

The room was very clean, the beds are super comfy and they have prepared 3 different kinds of pillows ( 1 hard pillow, 1 feather soft pillow and 1 throw pillow) for each bed which made my sleep very comfortable and relaxing since I am used to sleep using 2 pillows. This hotel far exceeded our expectations! It is in a great location for all your transportation needs. The lobby is located on the 15th floor which means your room is somewhere above that. Our superior twin room was on the 23rd floor and was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. There were lots of amenities that we made good use of. We appreciated the size of the room that left space for us to easily move around in as well as keep our luggage off to the side. The window view was nice. The buffet breakfast at this hotel is one of the best we've had! Not only was the variety of food choices amazing, but the barista style hand crafted coffee was awesome! A word of caution - the hotel is located above the train station and you can hear the trains at night (freight trains pass through here), but the hotel did let us know ahead of time. It didn't bother us much as we were exhausted from sightseeing and fell asleep almost immediately. If we go to Nagoya again, we would definitely stay here!

Located near to public teansport both train and bus. The staff were exceedingly professional, helpful, and friendly. We also were able to book our day trip tickets to legoland, which was super helpful. There's a public onsen for both men and women segregated away from each other. They also have optional smoking rooms upon request.Will definitely stay with the vessel hotel again.
